For those who didn’t know— yes I work at a rock shop, but I also do media for the reggae band @borderlinelucid. They toured and opened for The Wailers, and I got to photograph it—such an amazing opportunity! I’m so proud of the guys and grateful for it all. Huge thank you to @logjampresents for letting me capture such special nights. So much work goes into these shows—it was incredible to see it firsthand. Also- @thewailersofficial are amazing people and performers, I highly suggest seeing their shows. Borderline Lucid too;) by @jennadoesgems

I spy with my little eye- included Sapphires from Phillipsburg, Montana!

A large percentage of Montana Sapphires are included. That means there is an imperfection in the stone.

I’m using what’s called a Loupe, a small but strong magnifying tool. I can see where the inclusion is, what it is, and try to figure out whether it’s a stone we want to use or not.

Higher quality stones are set into gold jewelry, but since inclusions decrease the value of a stone these Sapphires will most likely be set into sterling silver :)

Fun fact: I love Fluorite.
I love the many localities it’s found in, its growth patterns, colors and the fact Fluorite is fluorescent.

Here is my personal little collection of Fluorite 🤗

My newest addition is the blue Fluorite mineral specimen that I got at a gem show this last weekend 💞 by @jennadoesgems
