“Whoever has been spared the worst is lucky.”

There are so many things I could say about Antigone. I want to express my heartfelt thank you to everyone who made it as beautiful as it was; there is no better gift for an artist than to be given the chance to be seen. Antigone was such a huge challenge for me and it was a massive pleasure to bring her to the world, especially right now. And though we dealt with tragedy every night, what I took home with me was the joy made possible by those around me. And the fart jokes.

These violent delights have violent ends…

Here’s to a wonderful production, incredibly talented friends, department debuts, and Just Dance in the dressing room. I will miss this show with all of my heart, but as our lovely stage manager @harleston_cc said, we will always be the cast WCT’s production of Romeo and Juliet!

Reminder that it’s all good :)

Pretty sure I skipped the sadness and went straight to agressive determination. I don’t care if I’m on a sinking ship, I’ve lived in this country my entire life and I intend to stay until I die. I typically do not make posts about shows I’m in, but I feel very lucky to have seen this little sapling grow into a tree and know that I was there to help water it. This cast was incredible and I feel grateful to everyone who welcomed me into WCT’s Dance with open arms and jazzy hands. Shout-out to @kat.andiel for making this process extra special and for being the world’s worst stage manager. I love what I get to do and am eternally thankful for the people I’ve met who have helped me get here. by @jennahaefli

Freshman year done! So much stuff has happened, I’ll do my best to summarize here:

-set what I’m pretty sure is a campus record by switching majors on Day 2
-nightmare roommate situation
-DREAM ROOMMATE SITUATION @kaye.desanti
-had to say goodbye to sarge, best boy
-four MainStage (and like 0.75 student run) productions complete 😎
-got to share my story about being a queer Texan on an NBC podcast (and beatboxed ig)
-apparently I brought a hookah backstage during grand night lmfao
-felt so, so lonely for the first in a very long time
-truly believed I would drop out
-made the deans list tho!
-came back and felt so, so loved by the RIGHT ppl
-so many failed first dates
-auditioned for the second time and was accepted into Theatre Performance
-committed to double major as a DTM/TP!!!
-started asking questions about where I come from
-built my first snowman!!
-took a dna test and waited. And waited. And then waited some more.
-migraine 😟
-why is David in all of my snap stories let him outta there
-got my results back, now I know five of the coolest ppl who I just happen to be related to and finding out who my bio father is
-was constantly surrounded by ppl who made me feel respected but challenged at the same time
-MIGRAINE 😟😟😟
-80 is like winter
-My baby girl got shot but she’s a trooper
