🎤 High notes feeling stuck? Grab my FREE High Note Troubleshooter guide—link in bio!

If your chest voice and head voice feel like two completely different voices, practice the connection between them. 👏

I love this vocal warm-up for finding an easier mix and practicing smooth transitions through my range. The goal is to help your voice feel connected going up AND coming down, without dragging chest voice into the high notes.

Keep it easy, avoid squeezing, and choose a starting pitch that’s comfortable for YOUR voice. ❤️

Save this for your next vocal warm-up!

You can find your mix voice in an exercise—but lose it the moment you sing the actual song.

Finding your mix is only the first step. The real goal is learning how to use it in your songs.

❤️ THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE THE SPOTLIGHT SHINE ❤️

These three photos from Absolute Adele with Jennifer Cella at the West Herr Riviera Theatre tell an important part of the story: the extraordinary people behind the scenes who make a show like this possible.

Derek brought the show to life through lighting, while Dominic and Jared oversaw production. They may not be the ones standing in the spotlight, but their talent, skill, and experience shape everything the audience sees and hears onstage. Their attention to every detail was essential to the entire performance.

We also want to give a very special thank you to Ralfael, the Riv's house manager, who took incredible care of everyone. From the delicious dinner and amazing desserts to every detail of the hospitality, he went far beyond what anyone could have expected. He even helped create the beautifully lit meet & greet area that made the photos look fantastic.

At the end of the evening, Ralfael had takeaway containers ready for anyone who hadn’t eaten before the show, along with individual bags of popcorn for the ride home. Those thoughtful touches meant more than he probably realizes.

To the Riv's wonderful team of volunteers, pictured with us in the third photo: thank you for giving your time and being such an important part of every performance. A theater simply could not do what it does without you.

We also want to recognize David Fillenwarth, Executive Director of the Riv. Although David wasn’t able to be there that evening, his support was very much a part of it. Over the years, he has become a good friend, and we are truly grateful for the relationship we have built and for everything he does to make these performances possible.

Our heartfelt thanks to David, Derek, Dominic, Jared, Ralfael, the volunteers, and to the entire staff of the Riv. These are the people who make it happen, and Absolute Adele with Jennifer Cella was fortunate to have every one of them on our team.

🌟 MORE THAN 900 JOIN ABSOLUTE ADELE AT THE RIVIERA THEATRE 🌟

A stunningly beautiful theater, an audience of more than 900 and an unforgettable performance by Absolute Adele with Jennifer Cella at the West Herr Riviera Theatre in North Tonawanda, New York.

From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. Dominic and Jared were waiting at the load-in doors to welcome us and help with load-in -- a thoughtful gesture that immediately showed how much this theater cares about its artists.

The hospitality, sound, lighting, and production were all top-notch, and the Riviera staff is among the finest you will find anywhere. Our sincere thanks to Jared, Dominic, Derek, and Ralfael for taking such wonderful care of us, and to Layla for handling merchandise.

Extra-special thanks to Ralfael for coordinating the after-show meet and greet and making sure every detail - from the special backdrop to the lighting - was just right. (Meet-and-greet photos to follow in a separate post!)

Thank you to David for welcoming Absolute Adele with Jennifer Cella to the Riv. We had been looking forward to this show for a long time, and the entire experience could not have been better.

And to everyone who joined us- thank you! It was wonderful to see SO many new faces and connect with such an enthusiastic audience from throughout the Buffalo region. We look forward to seeing you again.

We also celebrated the birthday of Absolute Adele keyboardist Mark Klett! Thank you to the entire audience for joining us in singing “Happy Birthday” to him - it was a very special moment. Mark is an extraordinary musician, and hearing him perform Bach on the Riviera’s Wurlitzer was a special treat. He brings that same remarkable musicianship to Trans-Siberian Orchestra as one of its keyboardists and will return to Buffalo with TSO’s East Coast touring group on December 30th.

Our heartfelt thanks once again to everyone at the Riv and to all who joined us for such a memorable evening!

Taking a bigger breath before a high note? More air doesn’t automatically help you sing higher without straining.

If that huge inhale leads you to push harder, the extra breath pressure can make your high notes feel tight or difficult to control.

Try a comfortable breath, then notice whether you start forcing the air as the pitch rises. Breath support for singing involves coordinating airflow and pressure with your voice.
