This one took me quite a while to bring to life, but I’m absolutely in love with what it became — the simplicity, the timelessness, the beautiful drape, and the many different ways you can wear this one little piece.

ℳ𝓎 ℬ𝒶𝓈𝒾𝒸 𝒮ℴ𝒸𝓀𝓈 pattern is here ✌🏻

To be honest, I haven’t planned them to become a pattern. But since so many of you, lovely people, were interested in this type of heel and asked about the written pattern - here we go - it is now available on Ravelry!

These socks are built around one of my main life mottos: simplicity is always the best solution. I wanted to create a pair that is simple in its construction, comfortable to wear, and has all the important little details where they actually matter.

🇫🇮: ℋℯ𝒾 𝓇𝒶𝓀𝒶𝓈, 𝓀ℯ𝓇𝓇ℴ 𝓂𝓊𝓁𝓁ℯ 🤍

Hey dear, tell me something — do you know that feeling when you’ve made a perfect sweater? 🥳 Well… I think I finally cracked the code of the circular yoke. And oh my, there are going to be many more of these! 😂🧶
The best part? No calculations ( I mean it😋) no endless adjusting — just intuition and trying it on. A lot. Over and over again. 😁

A few little tricks went into this one: bust darts, a faux seam, and a few extra stitches before the ribbing to give it that easy, relaxed finish. And that fluffy halo…

ℰ𝓃𝒿ℴ𝓎𝒾𝓃ℊ 𝒶 𝓃ℯ𝓌 𝓈𝓉𝒶𝓇𝓉 𝓉ℴ𝒹𝒶𝓎 ☺️

For any knitter, starting something new is exciting. It wakes up the curiosity of how the yarn will feel in your hands, how the stitches will start to play their song, note by note.

For me, there is one thing that matters a lot when it comes to choosing new yarn. It’s about choosing yarn that carries something with it — traces of respect for tradition, animals, nature and the craft behind it.

Hjelholts Uldspinderi @hjelholtsuldspinderi is a family-run wool mill in Denmark, working with wool since 1878. They care about traditional craftsmanship, animals, nature and the people around them.
And I really like how they describe their way of thinking: “We try to repair things when they break, buy new things rarely, and keep old crafts and old stories alive.”

This is exactly the kind of philosophy I like to support. I love when yarn is more than just colour and texture. When it carries a story, a feeling and a little bit of history with it. And maybe that is what makes me want to cast on. 🤎🍂

🍂🧶

A little peek into what’s on my needles now — and what’s coming next. WIPs & knitting plans for autumn 🍂🧶 Some things are planned, some are pure improvisation, and a few are still little secrets. 🤫
Although, knowing me, plans are always subject to change — call it inspiration, call it a sudden hit of madness… 😂

But this time I really want to try to stick to the plan. Since last spring, I’ve been rethinking my approach to knitting quite a lot. Not because I don’t want to buy yarn — I absolutely do. 😂 I genuinely consider yarn collecting a hobby of its own. Well, less talk, more show ->

Currently on my needles 🧶 Circular yoke - tadaaa 🤭

No pattern, no particular plan — just improvising and playing with the construction. I have to admit: I’m not a big fan of circular yokes. 🤭I don’t think they always give the best fit, and, in my experience, they often require much more trying on than other constructions. Why? With a raglan, you might add four stitches in an increase round. With a circular yoke, you can be adding… well, A LOT more. 😂 And if you get that increase round wrong, there’s not much room for pretending it didn’t happen 😅 So yes — I’m not a huge fan of circular yokes. And merino. Also not my favourite. 🙈I do like merino when it has some character — when it actually feels like wool, rather than something so heavily processed that, to me, it starts feeling a little too much like acrylic. Yes, I said it - now you can hate me, officially 😂

But this one got me at a knitting festival this summer. 🤭 The linen in the blend got me really curious to see what that combination would be like. I decided to add a strand of mohair to give the fabric a little more structure and fullness.

So here we are two different things I usually try to avoid, but … 😂 let’s see what happens. 🤞🏻

One mitten is off the needles… 🧤

Rosie Jacket 3.0

Yes, I’m knitting Rosie AGAIN. 😂
And yes, there is a reason. Rosie is already my 4th version of the design and the 3rd version as a cardigan.

With every version, I’m refining the fit, construction and all those tiny details I care about. I’m working with anatomical shaping, smooth line taken in Jyväskylä, Finland by @jennisknit

ℛℴ𝓈𝒾ℯ 𝒱ℯ𝓈𝓉 catch the FO☺️

I knitted this Rosie Vest during our holiday in Mallorca, and it took me about a week. Not because I was knitting all day — quite the opposite! 😄 But every evening, when my daughter and I watched a movie for an hour or so, I had my Rosie with me.

🧶 @villamaglobal — 2 skeins of Bouclé + 4 skeins of Baby Alpaca, held together throughout: one strand of Bouclé + one strand of Baby Alpaca. And I mean every last bit of the Baby Alpaca. 😅 I used the very last metres for the crocheted edging and, thankfully, it was just enough!

This is essentially the same construction I’ve been developing for my Rosie jackets, just with a narrower shoulder line.
It has a deeper back neckline, a slightly higher back for a more anatomical fit, and smooth, gradual shaping instead of endless increases every other row 🤪

So, babes - I LIVE IN THIS VEST! Like, yeah, I mean it😂
I only got around to taking these photos now because ever since we came home, I’ve basically been wearing it non-stop. It goes with absolutely everything in my wardrobe — long-sleeves, T-shirts, dresses, skirts, jeans… even sweatpants, everything ✌🏻

And now I’m slightly worried that I’m going to wear this one into the ground. 😂

So I’m afraid I might need to knit another ℛℴ𝓈𝒾ℯ 𝒱ℯ𝓈𝓉 for myself very, very soon. 🤭

🍁🍁🍁

After my evening shift today, I went for a walk with my little pie🐾 and suddenly found myself surrounded by that kind of autumn beauty that makes you stop and just look. The golden light, the faded greens, the rusty browns, the deep pinks… all those colors that somehow exist together without competing, each one making the other more beautiful.

Autumn has always been my favorite season. Perhaps because it feels so much like my family. It’s the season of birthdays for my daughter, my husband, and my beloved mum. ❤️ And this shawl is for her.

I keep looking at these colors and thinking about my mum. She is light and warmth, but never just one thing. She is kind and wise, incredibly stubborn, wonderfully funny, and has a depth that you can discover again and again. So many different sides, so many different shades — and somehow, they all belong together perfectly. Just like the colors in this shawl.

There is something almost magical about the way these shades meet. Nothing complicated, nothing forced. Just colors, stitches, beautiful fluffy alpaca yarn from @lainesdunord … and voila - the magic happens. ✨ A little piece of autumn… of me. And, I hope, a little piece of my mum. 🍂❤️

𝒱ℯ𝓇𝓎 𝒜𝓊𝓉𝓊𝓂𝓃 𝒮ℴ𝒸𝓀𝓈 🍂
My traditional autumn socks — already for the fourth season.

I found this lace pattern on Pinterest 4 years ago, and ever since then, I’ve been coming back to it and knitting my own version of these socks. I know this particular lace pattern is used in other designs as well, so I’m not claiming it as my own. What is mine is the way I’ve put everything together — the construction, the details, and, most importantly, the feeling I wanted these socks to have. For me, the whole point of these socks is lightness and lace.

That’s why I left out anything that would make them feel heavier: no reinforced heel, no ribbing, no strong contrasting details. I wanted everything to stay as minimal as possible, with the exception of the lace itself — and the yarn, which has to work with the design rather than compete with it. Very much my kind of socks.

ℛℴ𝓈𝒾ℯ once again ☺️
Just take a look at this ☁️🤍

After knitting my first Rosie Jacket this spring (remember the pink bouclé one? 😁), I knew — I would definitely knit more with this yarn!

So, feeling like autumn is just around the corner, I decided to take it with me on my “back to summer” trip… aaaand, here we go! I am so, so in love with it already ☺️

My first Rosie Jacket was knitted holding two strands of bouclé yarn together. This time, I decided to hold one strand of bouclé together with some absolutely amazing baby alpaca yarn 🥰🥰🥰

🍃 | soft bloom shawlette in august

Another pattern of @jennisknit which was so much fun! The shawlette is a real allrounder with a soft and playful look ✨ I just love it and as the weather is more rainy I am sure to get cosy through autumn 🍂
