I listened to 8 books during the month of September and they were all pretty good. Land by @maggieofarrellofficial was definitely my favorite; it was epic, heart-rending, and beautiful. I also really enjoyed Witchcraft for Wayward Girls; it made me angry, sad, and scared but the ending almost saved it. Nine Goblins was delightful and Cherry Baby had gorgeous, fat, frustrating, but lovable main character who stayed true to herself. 👏 I finally read Why Fish Don’t Exist after hearing @ryanholiday recommend a dozen times and it was very informative. And I’m still thinking about my last two books of the month, Harlem Rhapsody and The Nurse. Now I’m reading for spooky books! What have you been reading? Got any favorite witchy/ghost/cult/haunted house books to recommend? by @jennlikesit

The display features artifacts, 100+ year-old comic pages, original artwork, reprints of classic issues, and some neat facts about the history of comics. Make sure you swing by and give it a look, and sign up for a library card while you’re there!

I read/listened to 8 very different books in August. There was sci-fi, magical realism, unconditional families, cozy mystery, historical horror, and some romance. No nonfiction this month, though. They were all winners. Best covers: The Inheritance of Orchidea Divina and Wolf Worm. #whatareyoureading by @jennlikesit

I read/listened to 13 books in July. I think that might be a record for me. The long drive to and from Myrtle Beach certainly helped. My favorites were Hamnet, Whistler, and I See You’ve Called in Dead, but really all them were fantastic. I’m all caught up on the adventures of Emma M. Lion. I can’t wait to see what her and the boys get up to in volume 9 next month. What were your favorite July reads? by @jennlikesit

Meet the Planties. I bought this one today. I was going to call her Louise because her leaves make me think of the youngest Belcher’s bunny ears, but she’s a tricolor ginger and Linda’s (Lily in yellow pot) best friend is named Ginger.
