🍇 🕯️Still, Life—an intentional moment to pause, be still, see and hold space to take in all the beauty and wonder this life has presented to us.

As I reflect on all of the celebratory glow, the joy, the magic of celebrating my 40th year around the sun, I am left feeling a tremendous sense of gratitude and complete astonishment for my darling friends and dear family for spending this exceptional evening with me. What a magnificent privilege it is to age another beautiful year. Thank you all so much for your birthday wishes, thoughtful gifts, and the biggest hugs and kisses. I have been sitting in all the feels since last week.

A special shout out to my sweet family and friends for your help in bringing this vision come to life. To my guy @forthephoto for these beautiful stills, @cashad, @strutz, @katdoemland for the still life styling and setting, @anne_landsberger for the event director assist and to my childhood friend #natalielawler for the epic artistry of my bespoke still life invitation. S H A D O W Over the last six months I have been working with my coach and therapist @kristansargeant to unearth the deeper truths about myself in both my personal and professional life. One concept she shared with me was The Shadow by Carl Jung - my dark side. The rejected parts of me that’s held onto the traumas of shame, feeling unseen, and unworthy.

In my time working with Kristan I have become more in touch with my shadow self and have found a deep friendship with this part of me. I’ve recently found a compassion for someone I’ve avoided and tucked away for so long. In experiencing this openness, I have found my whole self. This shadow self is truly the gatekeeper of all things creative and electric. As Kristan defines it masterfully, the shadow self is the wellspring of insight, instinct, impulse and inspiration. The shadow opens the door to our higher self. For me, everyday is different but each day she presents me with small wins.

The world is experiencing the challenge of stillness right now. With all our endless hours of nothing to do, 5 minutes of sitting quietly with yourself, being introspective and acknowledging the parts of you you’re afraid to reveal can change your relationship with yourself and then with the world around 🤍Sending love #shadow #shadowwork by @jennpablo

Paco, can you believe it’s been a whole damn decade of marriage already?! You are hands down my favorite weirdo of all time and I am somehow still being completely swooned by you and your cute rosy cheeks every single day. I am the luckiest to love you in all the most fantastical, beautiful ways. 26 years of love and officially 10 years of marriage TODAY. Like seriously, why can’t I quit you? lol

You are the moment of thrill I feel before my first jump into the ocean in the peak of summer. The perfect balance of exhilaration and relief with an ease like no other. I love every version of who you are today and who you will be in another century to come. You are and will always be my constant, my calm, my always sunny one of one.

To know Paco is to love Paco and wow, did we all feel it this weekend. ✨ We celebrated my sweet wife’s 40th with the most epic band party of all time: 28 friends, 4 bands, 7 people each, two ’90s rock anthems, one 2 hour rehearsal, and a performance on a DTLA dive bar stage. 🤘The feeling was out of this world, fun and the most special experience that is honestly so hard to describe.

Some were musical ringers, some hobbyists, and some had never performed in their lives but everyone said yes for Paco. From Killing in the Name and Song 2 to Semi-Charmed Life to Closing Time, Flagpole Sitta and No Rain, to Wonderwall, Zombie, and Creep, it was pure chaos, joy, nostalgia, and love. We even closed with a Weezer cover band playing the entire Blue Album while we danced and head banged the night away…all before 8pm. 🙊

Paco was beaming like I’ve never seen. The love was palpable, happy tears of joy, big belly laughs, magic in the music, and a room full of people giving their hearts on stage and off. Together, we created our own little love filled, cute universe for a night, and it was unforgettable. #IYKYK

This one was one for the books. Thank you, to everyone who performed and attended and made it the most fun ever. Paco felt the love tenfold and so did I. But seriously, should we make this a new Paco/Pablo tradition? ♥️🎸

To know her is to love her 🤍. She claims there is no need for a special celebration today since she is celebrated by all every single day. Of course, I can’t resist. The sun to my moon, the yin to my yang, the magical human I am honored to experience this gorgeous life with—there is no one else I’d rather wish a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to than my better half, Paco.

I tell my sweet wife that my only posts on Instagram are about my undying love and admiration for her because there is so much beauty and joy to be found in our togetherness.
