🚨Big news for Marblehead moms and infants: Baby formula is now available for WIC participants at Marblehead CVS. Huge thanks to @cvspharmacy and Senior Director Steve Larrabee for following up on @senbrendancrighton and my request to bring this benefit to our town. @mass_wic helps feed 24,000 Massachusetts infants every month — and provides more than 122,000 participants with healthy food, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to health care services. Nationally, WIC feeds 41 percent of all infants. Apply here: https://www.mass.gov/forms/apply-for-wic-online.

Oh — And don’t forget to get your flu shot!

Special thanks to the Marblehead CVS team, @_amarigaston of Senator Crighton’s office, and @eleanordever for her video & editing talents. by @jennyarmini

It’s not every day you run into the guy hanging on your office wall — but there was Richard Thibedeau at the Marblehead Farmers Market doing what he does so well: Sharing the natural beauty of Marblehead and the importance of preserving it. I picked up one of the @marblehead_trails @marbleheadconservancy new shopping totes, cleverly highlighting our Town’s outdoor treasures. Pick up yours for $5 next Saturday! taken in Marblehead Farmers' Market by @jennyarmini

Twenty-five years on, my annual ritual remains the same: I dig out my speechwriting notes from September 11, 2001. Oddly enough, my current office is two floors down from the Governor’s press office I worked in then. I reread the frantic scribbles from that day and the days thereafter. I relive certain moments because I never want to forget. But mostly, I treat the fading legal pad like an ancient scroll — perhaps it will reveal some bit of wisdom or source of peace. This morning I read a line I swear I haven’t seen: “We are living in a different world now, and yet, we must make it a world of our own.” Did I write that? Did the Governor say that? Maybe I read it somewhere. Regardless, it conveys hope and promise. Terror had its moment, but the future is in our hands. Twenty-five years on, we are still figuring out what that looks like. The sacrifice of 2,977 beautiful souls lights the way. They taught us that the human spirit is unconquerable. They taught us to persevere in the face of fear. They taught us to hang onto each other — comfort each other — lift up each other. That’s their legacy. What we do with it will be ours.🇺🇸 taken in Massachusetts State House by @jennyarmini

🏡 2500 housing units in 29 developments.
🏘️ 20 communities.
💵 $278 million in state & federal financing and tax credits.

Yesterday, @massgovernor and @massltgov announced the largest single round of awards from a range of housing programs in more than a decade. I am very proud that the 2024 Affordable Homes Act made these investments possible.

And I am especially proud that SWAMPSCOTT’s Veterans Crossing development is part of it — 41 new housing units for veterans and people 55+. Some of those who are making Veterans Crossing possible celebrated with the Lieutenant Governor in Newburyport yesterday, including @bnaibrithousing chief Susan Gittelman, Swampscott Town Meeting Member @kimmartinepstein, and Town Administrator @nickconnors. taken in Newburyport, Massachusetts by @jennyarmini

🏮✨🏮Light a lantern. Make a wish. Honor a memory. Yesterday, Lynn brought the beautiful Khmer tradition of lighting floating lanterns to Goldfish Pond. During an afternoon festival that incorporated Cambodian traditions and culture, children and adults made lanterns out of colorful paper, sending thoughts of loved ones and wishes for the future across the water. It was a magical community event, and I was so proud to be part of it.

Thank you to the Goldfish Pond Association, @sunilgulab, the City and City Council President @cocoalinsug Coco Alinsug and his team, the Kakrona Center Inc. of Lynn, MA, and the many volunteers for bringing light and joy to the City.

The Pond is a special place in my district — an oasis — which is why @senbrendancrighton and I added funding for its ongoing rehabilitation in the FY27 state budget. taken in Goldfish Pond by @jennyarmini

🗳️It’s time to make a plan to vote in the September 1st statewide primary.🗳️

For me, representing the storied 8th Essex District of Marblehead, Swampscott, and Lynn is the honor of a lifetime. Working on the issues facing us — and there are many — carries a sense of urgency and weight because this community deserves a tireless advocate and problem solver. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be that person. And thank you for trusting me with your own challenges and questions. It is a very special privilege to serve as a resource for my neighbors and constituents.

Once again, I humbly ask for your vote on September 1st and November 3rd.🇺🇸 by @jennyarmini
