Fun fodder for necklaces. The flamingos were probably for holding birthday candles. Once I figure out the best way to remove the robot heads they will be fun beads.

Well this is sad and I could use some help please.I started this rug in 1989. I was an ambitious rug hooker at the time and didn’t mind patching the holes in the *backing.
I would love to give this to someone who hooks. Unfortunately I don’t know anyone who does. I’m hoping someone does and that they would want to tackle this and enjoy it.

*When coffee beans come into the US in burlap bags, customs stabs them looking for drugs. This action leaves a hole in the bag that they just put tape over. I was fortunate to get bags from Torrefazione Italia when they were in Pioneer Square. taken in Arbor Heights West Seattle by @jennyfillius

INSCAPE ARTS OPEN STUDIOS
SUNDAY JUNE 7th, 12-6pm
815 Seattle Blvd South, Seattle 98134

We only open our doors twice a year to the public and now is the time for our summer open studios event. Come explore 5 floors of art, history, and culture in this dedicated arts enclave which was once the Immigration and naturalization building. We will have 35+ art studios open, 20+ guest artists and art vendors, live performances, art installations, self guided history tours, snacks and refreshments, and a food truck. This event is FREE and family friendly. We also have FREE PARKING behind the building (see map in pic#2)
The street parking is also free and the international dist. light rail station is 2 blocks away. Buses at 4th and jackson are 3 blocks away.

I’ve always loved this photo of me, my sister and John Painter. John was my sister’s boyfriend at the time. It was in the late 70’s. John would later go on to father Anne Lamott’s son , Sam. Anne would eventually write (arguably her best book) Operating Instructions. How’s that for name dropping? by @jennyfillius

“All good things come to an end” I’ve heard it said. Well, do they or is it possible they don’t end but evolve or transform. That’s the way I prefer to think of it. Door closes, window opens. Chapter ends and new one begins. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger? Not in my case. My arm can’t handle cutting tin anymore. So now I will focus on what I can do, like painting and paper mache. I’m super excited about the big changes happening in my life. Okay, I had a feeling that lunch at a Chinese restaurant was going to be a mistake but thought It’d give it a try. I asked the host and the waiter if there were Chinese people in the kitchen. Both assured me there were. The sopa de mariscos was inedible. The broth tasted as I would imagine dishwater would and the seafood was mushy. taken in Mexico City, Mexico by @jennyfillius
