Husband’s sign got A LOT of honks while picketing at Sony studios this morning…. 🤣😂🤣 (And you’d be annoying (ie: whiny) too if you had to picket in this heat! #wgastrong taken in Los Angeles, California by @jennyleewrites

I have an essay in this anthology that came out 6 years ago yesterday! This book was a labor of love by the very talented and wonderful @reginarrobertson! 👏👏👏 It is her dedication and commitment to the project that convinced audible this book needed to be recorded! I had the pleasure of recording my own essay at the beginning of this year, and Regina showed up at the studio and we celebrated with coffee and muffins! I’m excited to listen to it as I picket for the WGA! Available on @audible now!!! taken in Los Angeles, California by @jennyleewrites

A few pics from Week 1 of the WGA Strike for a fair contract! I picketed at Radford Studios, FOX, Amazon, and Paramount. I met new writers and ran into so many writers from the 12 different TV shows I have had the honor to work with since the 2007 strike (my first year in the WGA). It’s an important fight and the writers are united and fired up!!! There were multiple standing ovations at the Shrine Auditorium meeting and picketers are shutting down productions!! (Lastly, my Oura ring thinks it’s been stolen because I’m not someone who regularly walks 12,000 steps a day. 🤣😂🤣) #wgastrong taken in Los Angeles, California by @jennyleewrites

Last night, I voted YES for the SAV (strike authorization vote)!I stand with the Writers Guild of America! I was out there picketing in 2007/2008 for the last WGA strike (my very first year in the guild) and if my union says we need to strike this year I’ll do it again. #wgastrong taken in Los Angeles, California by @jennyleewrites

Do you have Disney +?! If soooo, check out Prom Pact!!! I know the producers (same producers of Anna K) I met the wildly talented @peytonelizabethlee at the premier (she gave a great speech!) and my friend @margaret_cho is also in it as the verrrry funny guidance counselor (the one we all wish we had!) taken in Los Angeles, California by @jennyleewrites

NTTBF author dinner! And the one and only @reallyrosebrock who is one of the co-founders of the North Texas Book Festival. She is the beating heart of the festival and she adored by all. Photo credit: @jamespontibooks and thanks to @sarahmlynowski for organizing the dinner… I’m pretty sure we wouldn’t eat without her… 🥰🥰🥰 I’d tag everyone else, but I have a new book to write so I can get invited back again. 😜🤣😂🤣 taken in Westin Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas by @jennyleewrites

I had the joy of meeting @zibbyowens in February 2020, a month before Anna K was being published (and before we knew a global pandemic was going to shut down the world!) I taped her awesome podcast and since then she has done some extraordinary things: building a media empire, starting a publishing house, writing her own books, and now she’s opening her very own bookstore in Santa Monica @zibbysbookshop! We’re so lucky to have someone like her championing authors! I’m so excited to be a part of her opening weekend celebration!! I’ll be there in person to sign books on SATURDAY, FEB 18th at 11AM! (1114 Montana Avenue!) Come and say hi! As a west sider I’m super excited to have a new indie bookstore! 🤩📚🥰 taken in Santa Monica, California by @jennyleewrites
