As one of the Music Supervisors for Felicity, I decided to make a playlist for what music I might place in the series in 2025. Back in the day, I would have shared these with the creators JJ Abrams & Matt Reeves - no Spotify in 2000 🤣Try making a playlist for your fave show from the past. It's fun! Checkout it out my playlist on Spotify: “What if…Felicity 2025?”

So old skool. Super excited that I now have a portable 💿 player ala Walkman. Time to re-listen on my next walk.

Art for Art’s Sake: I have never taken an art class before but was blown away by this one! I recently attended a Wanda Wen Soolip art workshop: Paper Alchemy - A collage mixed media experience with Mary Neville. I found out about the class from Wanda who is the founder and creative force behind Soolip. I met Wanda over 20 years ago at Soolip in West Hollywood which has a new iteration in Westlake Village. It’s one of my fave stores to pop in and pick up artisanal paper, cards, gifts and small treasures.

For this workshop we were provided 2 8x8 wood panels as the base for our collage. We were provided interesting and unique paper, pencils, paint, pastels and stencils to work with. Mary gave us step by step instruction on how to create a mixed media collage. We were also asked to bring items we’d like to memorialize such as old letters or memento’s from traveling to add to the collage. I brought a piece of stationary that had a quote from the E. E. Cummings poem “I Carry Your Heart With Me”. Since a lot of my creative juices goes into listening and working with musicians and songwriters this class was especially fun for me. It definitely got me out of comfort zone. I highly recommend embracing activities that spark creative insights. It can be doodling, going to an art gallery, walking on the beach or just tying something new. Check out @soolip_ which has unique workshops throughout the year. I look forward to going to one soon.
