Life got a little heavy, and honestly, showing up here to post just felt hard.Then I picked up An Infinite Love Story by chanelcleeton…And I honestly don’t even know how to put into words what this book did to me.I became so invested in Vivian and Joe’s story. I wanted to rush through needing to know what would happen next, but at the same time, I wasn’t ready for it to end.This book truly moved me in a way I haven’t felt in a while…⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I’m so happy to be back sharing my reads. 📖 Chapter 12 check-in…And I’m… conflicted 😅This one is so talked about and highly recommended, so I went in really excited… but I’m struggling a bit.So far for me:• I’m having a hard time connecting with the MC• The overall tone feels a little more somber than I expectedSo now I’m debating…👉 Do I keep going or move on?I know a lot of people really love this one, so I’m wondering if it’s one that picks up or shifts as it goes 👀✨ It might just be a “not right now” read for me and that happens 🤷‍♀️I did make a goal this year to DNF more… but this one feels like it could go either way, which is what’s making it harder to decide 😅⭐ QOTD: If you haven’t read this one… What makes you decide a book deserves more time vs. when it’s just not clicking? by @jens.next.read

.✨ 𝘉𝘪𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘩 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘶𝘵✨I picked up The Serpent King after readinginthe262 recommended it, and I’m honestly so grateful I did. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This book just pulls you in without even trying. You get completely wrapped up in the characters and their lives, and the writing is so thoughtful and emotional.You can really feel how much care went into every part of this book. 📖 Book Completed ✓This one was more on the quiet, emotional side, but in a way that really worked for me. It’s not super plot heavy, but I never felt like I was just waiting for something to happen either. I was pulled into the characters, their growth, and the relationships enough to stay invested the whole way through.This is a slow burn, friends to lovers romance that actually felt believable, which I feel like is rare sometimes. There’s also a family element with secrets and an inheritance storyline that gave the story more depth without making it feel too heavy. I’m really glad I picked this one up, it ended up being such an easy, enjoyable read🙌✨ QOTD: what’s a slow burn romance you’ve loved lately?
