For New York-based artist Hannah Beerman @hannahbeerman , painting is a way of living, processing and staying open to possibility. Working from the floor, often across dozens of paintings at once, Beerman embraces accumulation, intuition and the “wisdom of the surprise” — allowing colour, objects, failure and chance to shape what comes next.
Ahead of her exhibition intramural kissing on the Little Dipper at Kim and Gupta Gallery @kimandgupta , Beerman spoke to Shadowplay about loss, artistic godmothers, the seduction of chaos, and the feral tenderness of making.
