Jen Shepard’s work examines the relationship between personal and archetypal themes related to metaphysics, science, the afterlife, and grief through conceptual and formal explorations of gesture and materials.

The impact of the Trump administration’s cruelty is being felt not only by those terrorized by ice 🧊 or children who went hungry without SNAP benefits, and families who may lise their health care, but also by people around the world.

Trump’s cuts to both USAID and the DISP Scholarship program for Burmese refugees have stranded students without support and their families in refugee camps without access to food or medicine.

But @DaughtersRisingThailand is fighting back. For the past 8 years, Daughters Rising’s Scholarship Program has been providing scholarships for refugee women. To date, the program has supported 128 students to attend undergraduate programs for whom higher education would otherwise be impossible.

My artwork is featured in their Art Auction Fundraiser which specifically benefits a Scholarship Program for refugee women who had their DISP Scholarships cancelled by Trump. This means you can collect my work AND help a refugee pursue her academic dreams! Click to the link in bio or go to @DaughtersRisingThailand to check out the online auction. Please consider purchasing work or sharing this auction to help keep these students in school and their dreams alive!” by @jenshepardart
