@jenslenz & @louisechernin spent the past nearly two years co-chairing the @fwc26seattle Pride Match Impact Council, centering what became known globally as the #pridematch during men’s world cup. This past Friday 06.26.26, they celebrated Pride for the World alongside friends, our queer community, and the world. Then they hit the pitch to send us all a little message🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🫶⚽️

Rough & Tumble was founded by Jen Barnes after she couldn’t find a bar showing Seattle Reign matches. Today, it’s a home for women’s sports fans, complete with Seattle Storm’s championship court beneath your feet and walls celebrating the athletes and teams that have shaped our city.🌈🐋

Tomorrow, as Seattle celebrates Pride Match Day, it’s the perfect place to cheer on the action. And throughout the FIFA World Cup, Rough & Tumble will be showing matches from around the globe.

After a tense first half, Megan Rapinoe opened the scoring from the penalty spot before Rose Lavelle sealed the victory with a brilliant solo run ✨

Named Player of the Match, Rapinoe finished the tournament with 6 goals and captained the USWNT to their fourth world title in front of a packed stadium 🌍

Such an honor to speak at the @ussoccer #shebelievessummit this year. Bringing the Summit to Seattle, the centering of Seattle’s incredible women’s sports community center stage, and to tie it all in with the @uswnt v. Japan match at @lumenfield — it was a powerful few days in Seattle.

The photo evidence from the #shebelievessummit is real: so much genuine laughter. The joy and authenticity were real… and also words we heard on repeat throughout the day. These are things I love most about the women’s sports sector.

Thank you to my inspiring co-panelists Domo Wells and @deaddirtt and @haleyrosen and @justwomenssports for the convo about Unlocking Cultural Capital—how each of us have identified not just opportunities, but the void that needs filling in the first place… and filled them.

Personally, to share the same stage with @melindafrenchgates @emmahayes1 @hilaryknight @juliefoudy and @brittanybowe was a special moment.
