@jensonkona had to face the final crime boss Kyle tonight. Kyle also stepped out of his comfort zone and for the first time he trained with someone other than me in class. People start training jiu jitsu for all types of reasons. Getting in shape, learning to defend yourself or for some maybe just to socialize and build a little confidence. Even though Kyle might have some challenges we try to toughen him up and let him know it’s not always going to be easy. Viper 🐍 assassins yeeet!! by @jensonkona

met zach and jessa 20 years ago when i first started jiujitsu at O2 martial arts. an instant connection and bond was made and i knew these two would turn out to be something special and amazing. it's funny how i was like their bigger brother back then, making trouble and beating them up, and now 20 years later, they are beating me up 😂🩶. watching them grow and excel not only in jiujitsu but also in life, has been such a blessing. @zachkaina @jessakainajj @hnl_jiu_jitsu_academy by @jensonkona

despite some injuries and setbacks, i trained really hard for this one. entered both gi and nogi, my weight division and the open weight division. lots of tough matches, but we did alright. very happy for the losses because as much as it sucks, it exposed the areas i need to work on. i was also surprised and stoked that my kids showed up to support me. they got to see me do my thing, and i did my best to set an example for them by handling both winning AND losing with class and respect. thank you to everyone who showed me support and to my team @hnl_jiu_jitsu_academy. you can't claim to be a honey badger if you dont do as one. #TeamKona #HNLjiujitsu #HoneyBadger by @jensonkona

it's been awhile since all the kids got to hang out so it was definitely a weekend that was long overdue. makuas been busy with his music and touring and i've been busy with trying to act busy 😂. electric bike ride to waimea, jump rock, throw net for bait, caught 2 fish, kids got to see a shark and learned how to clean fish. super stoked. #TeamKona #TeamRothman #Ulua #Fishing by @jensonkona

what a blessing it is to be tired from all the things I once prayed for.experimented with some new rigs that didn't require a float, and was able to get a not bad ulua. pretty happy about that, but not so happy with how hot it's been, even at night 🥵. this fish had me looking like i got all oiled up 😂. i didn't pack extra clothes, so had to try and make my tshirt from yesterday last until i finish work today 🤦🏼‍♂️. stoked to be back to my crack head routines consisting of no sleep and not going home for a day or two. work, fish, then straight to work again. #TeamKona #Ulua #SoloMissions #LifeStyle by @jensonkona
