My analog collage work explores the layered nature of femininity—its power, vulnerability, resilience, and beauty—through the delicate pairing of women and anemone flowers. Each piece is photographed, hand-cut and assembled from paper, a medium that itself speaks to fragility and strength. Like the women I portray, the paper may seem delicate, but it carries immense presence and purpose when pieced together with intention.

Anemones appear throughout my work as quiet yet potent symbols. Often associated with protection and anticipation, these flowers speak to the nuanced emotional lives of women. They bloom boldly, even in uncertain conditions—a mirror to how women have persisted and transformed through history. I see the anemone not just as a floral motif, but as a metaphor for the feminine spirit: graceful, soft, and yet defiantly strong.

My art is an invitation to reflect on how far women have come, and how we continue to redefine who we are. From the quiet musings of past generations to the empowered voices of today, my collages honour both the softness and the strength that co-exist in us. Each image is layered—visually and metaphorically—to speak to the complexity of being a woman in any era.

By reclaiming materials, imagery, and stories, I aim to celebrate women’s inner worlds and outer presence. These pieces are not about perfection but about process, growth, and rediscovery. In a world that often asks women to be smaller, quieter, or simpler, my work encourages expansion—to take up space, to feel deeply, and to find power in tenderness.

The power of scale!
Same pattern. Same palette.

Scale plays a huge role in determining the overall feel a pattern gives. A single pattern can be used in so many areas by simply changing the scale.

In many cases, scale determines the application. In fashion, the scale is important to fit appropriately on the garment. In decor, the scale plays with how dramatic the space is interpreted.

Playing with the scale of a pattern sets the tone, mood and composition of its surroundings.

Okay, can we talk about how different the same room feels depending on what's on the walls?

I've been obsessing over this lately. The same mantle, the same round wood mirror, the same brass candlestick. Completely different energy depending on the pattern behind it.

The deep navy with scattered florals? Moody and confident, like a room that has opinions. The cream with lily pads and swans? Dreamy and soft, like a poem you want to live inside. And that retro geometric dot? Pure joy, full volume, no apologies.

This is why I love what I do. A pattern isn't just a print. It's a feeling. It changes how a space breathes.
