A Warm Welcome to Our Sabha Secretary

It was a great honor and joy for our parish community to welcome our beloved Sabha Secretary Mr. Jacob C Mathews to St. Peter’s Syriac Orthodox Church today.

We were particularly happy to welcome him to our parish, where his daughter Meenu is also an active member of our church family. His visit was a wonderful opportunity for our parish family to come together and express our love, respect, and gratitude for his presence among us.

On behalf of our Vicar, Managing Committee, and all our parishioners, we sincerely thank him for taking the time to visit us. His presence and words of encouragement were a true blessing to our church community.

May God continue to guide, strengthen, and bless him in his dedicated service to the Syrian Orthodox Church. by @jenumadathil

Heartfelt Congratulations to Rev. Fr. Geevarghese Thomas Chattathil Corepiscopa

It is with immense joy, gratitude, and pride that we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Rev. Fr. Geevarghese Thomas Chattathil Corepiscopa, one of the senior priests of the Malankara Jacobite Syriac Orthodox Church and Vicar of the New City Jacobite Syriac Orthodox Church, on being honored by Rockland County, New York, in recognition of his exceptional and lifelong service.

This distinguished recognition, presented during the Indian Heritage Month Celebration, is a fitting tribute to more than 50 years of dedicated priestly ministry, public service, charitable work, and unwavering commitment to the Malankara Jacobite Syriac Orthodox Church, the Malankara Archdiocese, and the wider community.

For over five decades, Achen has faithfully proclaimed the Gospel, nurtured countless faithful, strengthened families, preserved our Syriac Orthodox heritage, and served society with humility, compassion, and Christ-like love. His inspiring spiritual leadership, tireless charitable service, and commitment to community welfare have touched the lives of generations.

This prestigious honor is not only a recognition of one devoted priest but also a proud moment for the entire Malankara Jacobite Syriac Orthodox Church, the Malankara Archdiocese, and all who have been blessed by his ministry. We thank Almighty God for granting such a faithful shepherd to His Church.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” (Matthew 25:23)

May our Lord Jesus Christ continue to bless Rev. Fr. Geevarghese Thomas Chattathil Corepiscopa with abundant health, wisdom, peace, and many more years of fruitful ministry. Through the prayers of the Holy Virgin Mary and all the Saints, may God strengthen him to continue serving His Holy Church with the same love, faith, and dedication.
