Our daughter, Cate Ré, released her first single on Friday. ❤️‍🔥

Cate wrote this song while she was taking a physics test (oops) during her freshman year of high school. Over the summer, she worked with the amazing producer @floydkellogg to record it. The two of them spent the fall working on the production, and finally it is here!

We all know how vulnerable it is to put any kind of artistic work out there at any age. But to do it at 16 years old? @cate_re_music , you are amazing.

If you have 4 minutes free today, would you please give it a listen? If you love the song, would you please share it? It would mean the world to me.

Drew Wutke is the most generous, loving, creative person I know. If he has ever played for you, coached you, supported you , held space for you, championed you, cheered for you, you know that he gives 100% of himself to everything he does.

He is my rock. He is my right hand (and my left hand). He is my creative partner. He is my best friend.

On May 15, Drew was admitted to the ICU with acute liver failure.

Thanks to the miracle that is organ donation, Drew received an emergency liver transplant that, quite literally, saved his life.

The road to recovery after a liver transplant is not an easy one. Drew needs our help.
Please consider donating to this GoFundMe campaign for Drew. He has donated his talents to more people, organizations, and causes than I can count. This is our chance to give back to him and let him know how much we care.

Thank you in advance for your support.

WE LOVE YOU DREW!!!!!!

A few weeks ago my sister sent me a video of my niece dancing to A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman. I must have watched the video a hundred times, I loved it so much. Then I got the idea to send it to my dear friend and client, the amazing Kody Jauron, and ask him to recreate her dance. Kody went above and beyond, and last night I had the extraordinary pleasure of watching my niece watch this video. Her face lit up. She was so proud. She felt seen. She felt special. And I will never, ever, ever forget it. Thank you, Kody! by @jenwaldman

NEW EPISODE AND OUR 1ST NESSA ON THE POD🖤🎙️🤍

join us with one of Tara’s actual good witches of the concrete jungle, the artist formerly known as Jennifer Waldman 🤣🤣, @jenwaldman on her time in the tight bun and silver slippers for @wicked_musical before becoming the founder and FORCE behind @jenwaldmanstudio, a training ground for professional actors who have been represented in almost every Broadway musical for the past 15 years! WE WOULD GLADLY BE HER BOQ 👏👏

this convo with Jen is RICH, holding space for the witch that doesn’t make it to the final curtain 😔😞, but is just as ambitious and deserving as the two witches who do. Jen even spills the 🫖 on the first ever NO FLY show 😱😱it’s the exact magical chaos we hoped for!

🔗 in bio to listen and happy Wicked 20th anniversary weekend!

6 years ago, Peter Shepherd and I met in Seth Godin’s altMBA. 5 years ago, we did Seth Godin’s Podcast Fellowship. Needless to say, those choices changed our lives. So, we were absolutely delighted to welcome Seth Godin back to The Long and The Short of It for Episode 259(!) as the ONLY guest we have ever had on the show.

We spoke about Seth’s amazing new book The Song of Significance, what bees have to teach us about leadership, and how we can bring more humanity into our work. In typical Seth fashion, he dropped a ton of knowledge bombs, ranted with passion and humor, and made us see things that we can never unsee.

My favorite moment was his impromptu rant about the theatre. Or, as he would call it “THE Theatre”. I promise you, it is worth the 37 minutes and 48 seconds of your time. Please give it a listen!

THANK YOU SETH!!!

“Who’s deciding what it’s like around here, backstage? Who is saying… “It’s a job.” Who else is setting the standards and says, ‘No. This is the chance of a lifetime. And even if what we do on stage is the same every night, what happens backstage is about mutual growth.’ You have more freedom to do that in the theatre than just about any job you can imagine.” - Seth Godin

Stepping into my Creative Genius era ✨

My epic adoration of @jenwaldman, @drewwutke, and the community of creatives JWS has given me is impossible to express in one sitting. The discoveries and work excavated from this room are precious and astounding. It’s brought something out in me I hope can never be lost or tamed- and we’re just getting started. JWS is a lighthouse for artists. If you’re feeling lost at sea, there’s a home for you here 💡💕

Singing Heaven On Their Minds in class with @jenwaldman today. Something I’ve really been working on is feeling just as comfortable with my lower register as I do in my higher register… I’m very proud of this. It helps to be proud of the work when you’re surrounded by kind, supportive, outrageously creative and talented individuals and teachers who give us the tools and love to nurture our talents like Jen Waldman and Drew Wutke. 💚 by @jenwaldman

Heart swelling joy hug with my soul sis, creative mate, partner in sillies, the loml, the most inspiring artist and actor I know @cassidystoner at JWS - my artistic HOME and community and inspiration recharge station, helmed by the singular @jenwaldman whose mentorship and classes are the reason I navigate both my artistry and this industry in the way that I do

Feat. my themme fatale pal @kaitlynmayse ?! - nothin better than all this.
