Night life in Ecuador is out of control. Crawling and sliding around everywhere are gobsmackingly beautiful creatures that don’t seem to mind human presence much. Some even invited me to have a sit and mutual gaze session. 10/10 would recommend. Thanks to @santanakamilo for the great viper picture taken after the snake whisperer coaxed them into a decently comfortable disposition @waska.amazonia @bentley7_7 The @mycena.media show has entered the Peru scene in Lima. The metamorphosis of the city in the last few years is savage. Support your local cool people. @alan_rockefeller is at the university showing students how to do DNA wizardry today, tomorrow I think we’ll take a stroll and see what kind of city dwelling more than human life we can find. The Amazon surprises me more every day I spend there. Big shout outs to everyone who made the visit unforgettable. @heimatlos_amazon for creating paradise on earth and being the most iconic spot for a wedding ever, @waska.amazonia for opening their doors to all us freaks and showing us how it’s done, and the @mycena.media family and crime_pays_but_botany_doesnt for being never ending founts of knowledge and companionship of the highest quality. Nothing like looking for stuff in the woods with a herd of friends, old and new. Hope to see all yall on a trail soon by @jergrows

The campout to open the Santuario mushroom festival was a dream with friends old and new! We ate delicious food with fresh wild mushrooms prepared by @lyly_cook and learned a ton from @biol.inista who instantly became like another brother to me. Some of the returning cast from last years campamiento was the poison Andean frog and a bunch of sweet fungi loving friends. Also this orchid that’s probably an Epidendrum species but I really don’t know, maybe @david_haelterman does. It rained, a lot, and everyone had a great time because it’s mushroom season and we were in the woods and the field. Grateful. by @jergrows

Especies del género Psilocybe registradas durante la 2a Feria del Hongo de El Santuario. Fotos de @jergrows y @natfungi , tomadas del grupo "A Comer Hongos"1 y 2, Ps. caerulescens 3 y 4, Ps. hoogshagenii 5 y 6, Ps. cubensis 7 y 8, Ps. mexicana9 y 10, Ps. zapotecorum 11, 12 y 13, posiblemente Ps. yungensis, esta especie es lignicola, aunque no tenemos muy buenas fotos de la maderita, en la base del primero puede notarse y el segundo estaba todavía sujeto al trozo de madera, pero no tenemos fotos de ese y se nos perdió la muestra 😓 en todo caso, Ps. yungensis es una especie con registros en Antioquia y este sería el primero para El Santuario.#hongueros #forrajeo #hongossilvestres #hongosmagicos #hongossagrados #hongosdeantioquia #hongosdecolombia #fungis #fungimistic #fungimagic #fungispirit #fungadeantioquia #fungadecolombia by @jergrows
