Weeks ago I signed up for @that_smiley_guy_ @legends.never.die.run but then I got a nerve pinch and I just can't run so instead of a pity party @jerryedelbrock and I rode from home to the Pioneer Cabin trailhead (22 miles), stashed our bikes and traded our bike clothes for hiking clothes. We hiked steadily, did pushups at the top and headed down, jumped back in bike clothes and onto bikes. It was 7hr day, so special and I sure hope I'm as capable and gung-ho as my sweet hubby at age 77. by @jerihowland

What a fun exchange I had this evening with the parents and son of @k8everson ! I love to bring Bennett, who just started middle school, a new stash of @bungalowmunch because he loves it! Tonight I walked over, and then much to my surprise got accompanied back home with grandpa and Bennett as Dave has never been able to find our house which is basically across the bike path from Indian Creek where they live. We had lots of chit chat then a visit in our garden before I ended up walking them back! On the way, Bennett told me about these amazing cookies he made. I think they're called snowballs. When we got back to their house, Bennett insisted on giving me his cookies. I said just a few! A few minutes later he came out with the sweetest box which you can see here. What a sweet neighborly experience. Feeling very grateful. by @jerihowland

What a fun exchange I had this evening with the parents and son of @k8everson! I love to bring Bennett who just started middle school more @bungalowmunch because he loves it! And that makes me so happy; and since grandpa has never been able to find our house which is basically across the bike path from Indian Creek where they live tonight after I delivered @bungalowmunch we all walked back to our house to see where it was. Did a little garden tour, then I walked them back to their house. Why not, it's a lovely night. On the way Bennett told me about these amazing cookies he had just made. I think they're called snowballs. When we got back to their house, he insisted on me having a nice box to take home -- which you can see here. What a sweet neighborly experience. Not in order of events last week but the main feature here are the scenes from Rebecca's Private Idaho. This year after 8 prior years of biking in the 100+ race I choice two new thing: to do the 3-day stage race and attend the @begoodfoundation benefit after stage 2. What an exhilarating, fun, few days right in our backyard! The biking was beautiful, energizing, and not as challenging as I'd anticipated; the benefit was so meaningful thanks to @rebeccarusch and @aerahh program goals for @begoodfoundation and the event so well done thanks to @amandaporino @organiceventssv (catered by @betteraskbrenda )
Im already looking forward to 2027. This race will be call The Big Lost put on by @bikemonkey by @jerihowland
