While running the Chicago Half, Ted Lasso kept ringing in my head in an ep I watched a few days before.

“Belief comes from in here, up here, down here.

Only problem is we all got so much junk floating through us a lot of times we end up getting in our own way.

Crap like envy, fear, shame.

I don’t wanna mess around with that crap anymore.

You know what I wanna mess around with? The belief that I matter, regardless of what I do or don’t achieve….

Or what about the belief about hope, that’s what I wanna mess with….

Oh man, to believe in yourself, to believe in one another.

Thats fundamental to being alive…if you can truly do that, can’t nobody rip you apart.”

Near the end of 2025, someone asked us to share 3 photos that highlight this past year. It was then that I realized I didn’t have very many photos of life this last year.

Life is so precious though, each moment unique and worthy of being remembered, whether high or low, the quiet in-between and through grief or joy.

So here are some highlights from 2025 of people (and dogs, maybe max) I love deeply, most of these being taken in the month of December. Moments to hold onto a bit longer.

And to 2026, a year of being more present, and taking more photos along the way.

Rest easy, my boy. Thank you for fighting so hard, your heart is so incredibly strong. 13 years well lived.

So lucky and blessed to have loved you and been loved by you. You’ve touched the hearts of everyone you met along the way in an unforgettable way and you’ll live on in our memories 5ever.

Love you so much, now more than ever. by @jermschingfai
