POSTS STORIES REELS
Spent my 30th in Punta Cana didn’t I, fantastic trip! 🇩🇴 It’s funny because prior to the day, I kept playing down what the ‘dreaded’ day would be like. ‘It’s just another day man’, ‘it’s not that deep’, but I did wake up in a reflective mood 🤔 At first, I mulled over all the things 10-year-old me thought I’d have done by now. Won the Champions League, Ballon d’Or, World Cup with 🇬🇭. I hadn’t even achieved the more realistic ambitions like buying a yard or starting a family. FAAAAAAAH! 😭🤦🏾😂 Nevertheless, after a day full of love from the people I love, my attention inevitably shifted to the list of things I had achieved. Life’s all about perspective! 💭 When your day comes, just save yourself the stress and remember that even getting here is a blessing and a good enough reason to celebrate! Let’s cheers to growth 🥂🍾📈 by @jerometotimeh_
So many of the biggest rappers started their journeys in studios just like this 😂 It’s almost a rite of passage! Lock in to the full conversation to see how Gbenga’s story has progressed from those early days to where he is now 📖📈 Link in bio ⬆️ by @jerometotimeh_
Up until yesterday I hadn’t posted an interview in over 420 days. During that time I contemplated packing it in fully, but encouragement from loved ones and the love of the game brought me back out for real! After the boys and I decided to call it a day on @wmtv_ I felt lost! You know when your venture starts becoming your whole being, how it performs can really impact your self esteem and mine was in the gutter! Nevertheless, going through that taught me a key lesson, regardless of whatever I achieve, I’ll always be Jerome first. Someone who loves many, is loved by many and has something he loves doing, helping people share their story. My new conversation series does just that. Thank you @gbenga3k for trusting me with your story bro, I left feeling inspired and charged for the many convos I’m yet to have. And to those of you who engage with the content I produce, thank you for your continued support and your patience, I hope the new lane I’m heading down inspires you to do what you love also! 💪🏾 by @jerometotimeh_
I knew early on that Gbenga had to be one of the first guests on The Story So Far. When I began conceptualising the show, I thought carefully about the tone of the conversations, the aesthetic, their purpose and, of course, the people whose stories I wanted to explore. It didn’t take long for Gbenga to come to mind. I first met Gbenga a few years ago at a mutual friend’s event (shoutout TAG Agency!). I’m not sure what drew us to each other, but we struck up a conversation and I quickly noticed his burning ambition and passion for his craft. Over the years, I supported him from afar and watched not only his artistry evolve, but also his community and career grow from strength to strength. His hard work and dedication have since led to several career-defining moments, making this feel like the perfect time to reflect on his journey so far and, more importantly, explore where he wants to go next. Born in North London to Nigerian parents, Gbenga has always been surrounded by music and creativity. In this conversation, he recalls obsessing over his father’s diverse CD collection and how that helped him fall in love with storytelling through music. Although he knew he wanted to become a rapper from around the age of 12, Gbenga didn’t always have the confidence to pursue it. While his peers bravely released music for the world to hear, he often kept his writing to himself and performed alone in his bedroom. Today, rapping under the name GBNGA, Gbenga has developed into an ambitious, confident and deeply relatable voice in UK rap. His catalogue includes multiple cohesive bodies of work that even some of the most established artists would be proud of. So, how did he go from the shy child writing and rapping behind closed doors to the artist you see today? This is @gbenga3k story so far. Out now! by @jerometotimeh_

For context @jaymunro26 hasn’t been running @yourlastlesson for long at all but he’s already got great traction with the brand and has been earmarked by hypebeast as one of the British streetwear brands to watch out for this year aswell as being stocked in Harvey Nichols in his native Scotland! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 I’ve seen the effort Jay’s been putting in since he launched the brand, from the pieces he’s creating to the international shoots he’s done, Jay’s really grinded to get the brand where it is and I’m happy he’s bearing the fruits! This clip reminded me of something my bro @galanacci.the.creator said to me, ‘stay around long enough to see the results.’🔑 This fashion journey isn’t easy at all but make sure you’re putting that work in, the results will come!📈 It’s @jaymunro26’s birthday today aswell btw so go message him hbd 🎂 and tell him JT sent ya!😂👊🏾 by @jerometotimeh_
