What a great 2 weeks to celebrate my birthday, starting with a BC Lions game last Saturday against Montreal (and they won too!), followed by a visit to the Keg with my family last Sunday, and finishing the celebrations with a weekend trip to Galiano Island with my friends Alisa and Nikko! Some fantastic views on the island and perfect weather for hikes and swimming! Can't wait for my next visit! by @jerryappleby1

Working on a new song, from the Ducktales PS3 game! It's the credits theme, which is a piano remix of the Moon theme from the main game. Just started working on it a day ago so it's not perfect yet but it still sounds beautiful and I wanted to share it! #jakekaufman #ducktales #piano by @jerryappleby1

Some pictures of tonight's Lunar Eclipse! The first 2 pics were taken by my dad, and he took some incredible ones! Wish my camera was as good as his! Those are like some magazine prize-winning shots! 🤩

My pics were taken at a park near my house and the quality is horrible lol. 😅 But it was cool watching it with my own eyes before the clouds finally covered it up! #lunar #lunareclipse #moon by @jerryappleby1

July was a busy month for me with lots of different events! Lots of football 🏈 and football ⚽️ all month!

Started the month with a trip to Kelowna with my dad to watch the BC Lions play there while the World Cup was on. They lost but it was a good time regardless!

Then shortly after coming back home, I got to see both the Round of 32 and Round of 16 at BC Place! I was hoping Canada would have been there but got to see the Swiss team instead. The Swiss/Colombia matchup was my favourite because the Colombian fans were amazing and so energetic all game!

And then last Friday I went to see The Odyssey with @scayer92 and had an enormous drink out of a fishbowl, soooo much booze but I barely finished it 😅
On Sunday I performed some music at the Admiral Pub and that went super well! A few friends came by to cheer me on and take some videos too (my friend Gary insisted on me covering his face with an emoji lol)!

Finally, on Thursday I got to watch the Lions game at a special event at the practice facility in Surrey! They finally won a game too! The staff did a great job hosting all the season ticket holders, the food and drinks were delicious and the new locker room is amazing! by @jerryappleby1

Today was one of the hardest days of my life: I had to say goodbye to my cat Simon. 💔🥺 He was a month away from turning 16.

I knew this day was approaching, but it didn't make it any easier. He got diagnosed with cancer in May, and so we knew he would only be around a bit longer, and he managed to hang on for almost 2 more months!
I noticed last night when I got home from work that he wasn't eating or drinking, and by this morning I knew it would be our final day together. 🥺

Simon got me through many tough moments of my life, including quitting my first job, 3 previous dogs passing, a house fire, and the loss of 3 grandparents & a childhood friend. Whenever I had a rough time, he would always be there for me to hug and squeeze.

Simon loved cuddling, but mainly at nighttime when we would go to sleep. He loved sleeping on top of our legs, and occasionally biting our feet. He also would jump on my lap to sleep on me while I was gaming, and he always tried to bite my headset while chatting with friends. He was always a bit of a nuisance in the most adorable way, so I would lovingly call him "Little Asshole" or "Asscat." He had a bunch of nicknames like "Little Orange," or "Munchlax" because he loved eating. He was definitely a foodie, he loved eating food so much that we had to watch him eat so he wouldn't steal food from his older brother Oliver.

Simon loved Oliver more than anyone else in our house. He would always follow his brother around wherever he went, and he would sleep with him every night, often using him as his own personal pillow. Oliver went blind in February, but Simon still loved being with him no matter what. The last thing he did today before he passed was walk up to Oliver and give him a big hug to say goodbye. 🥹

He brought so many great memories and moments in my life, and this loss will hurt for a while. He will be so dearly missed. 🙏🙏
Rest in peace Simon and thank you for everything.

Another fantastic Hats Off Day in the Heights! Didn't know how the day would play out with all the rain in the morning, but it turned out great in the afternoon with lots of sun and not too hot!

Once again this year I played some music, not just for the entertainment, but to also raise some extra money for the Canada Post Community Foundation children's charity. Raised $80 from just 2 hours of playing!

Thanks to everyone who donated for their generosity, and also extra special thanks to everyone who sent me videos and pictures, much appreciated! 😊

Can't wait for next year! 🎶🎹

Today was the second annual Mikey's Run! The whole family did the run once again this year in support for Mike's family and Men's Mental Health.

For those that don't know, Mikey's Run was created in memory of my childhood friend Mike, to raise awareness for Men's Mental Health, and to let everyone know that it's ok to not be ok inside. Speak out if you are struggling and talk with people, they will listen and help you!

Break the silence, one step at a time! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🫶

Just started learning a song from a couple of the older Pokémon games. I just found the sheet music last night so this is just a sneak peek at my favourite part of the song! Hoping to have it perfected before Hats Off Day in June! #pokemon #battlehall #soulsilver #heartgold #platinum by @jerryappleby1

As part of Sonic the Hedgehog's 35th anniversary, they asked fans to send in their Sonic music covers, so I sent a few of mine in, and I got featured in their Playlist!! What an amazing honour to be part of their fan playlist! So exciting! 😄

My most anticipated game of the year, seeing Ovechkin and the Caps vs the Canucks! Even though he didn't score, it was awesome to see the best goal scorer of all time up close during the warmups and enjoy it with my 2 younger brothers! The Canucks won too, their first win of 2026! Dylan Strome also waved to me during pregame which was pretty awesome haha.
