another comp, another silver medal - when I’m 15 years older than my opponents and about half their size it’s a tough roll but I showed up again and gave em hell - back to the lab to get my atrocious cardio in order 🤣 taken in Checkmat Lynchburg Jiu Jitsu by @jerryluizza

Another comp down! Not the outcome I was looking for but I knew coming into this one that up a weight against a tough opponent was going to be a big ask but showing up is always a win. Had to give em the Mutombo finger wag when he thought he had the choke finished 🤣 The kids from our school @checkmatlynchburgva dominated the competition so proud of them all. Back at it for the next one and hopefully bring home a gold (in my weight lol). taken in Checkmat Lynchburg Jiu Jitsu by @jerryluizza

Took silver in my first bjj comp today, hurt my arm in the semi finals but went out for the finals match anyways and lost by sub. Happy with my performance overall just need to get my cardio right per usual lol. Just being able to be here alive and competing from where I was a few years ago is the real win. Thanks to everyone from the gym that helped me get ready for this. More comps to come! by @jerryluizza
