đŸ» Are you drinking to have fun, or drinking because you’re having fun?

There’s a massive difference.

I used to spend my weekends going out, getting pissed and distracting myself from the things I knew I needed to change.

Starting my own business, facing my fears, actually doing something I was passionate about.

But guess what? Those problems were still there on Monday morning.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with enjoying yourself.

But if you’re constantly unhappy with where you’re at, whether that’s your fitness, confidence or life in general, ask yourself

Are your weekends helping you enjoy your life, or helping you escape it?

Sometimes the hardest conversations are the ones you need to have with yourself.

Be honest, has this ever been you? 👇 by @jerrywalshcoaching

“I’ll start when things calm down.”

Mate, when’s that going to be?

There’s always going to be work, responsibilities and something else going on in life.

If you’ve been telling yourself for months, or even years, that you’re going to get back into shape, ask yourself what’s actually stopping you.

You don’t need the perfect circumstances. You need to start making changes with the circumstances you’ve got.

Because another 6 months will pass regardless. You might as well have something to show for it. đŸ’ȘđŸŒ

Be honest, what’s the biggest thing holding you back right now? 👇 by @jerrywalshcoaching

Some excuses are fair enough
 others are absolute bollocks 😂

We’ve all made them, myself included.

But if you keep waiting for the perfect time to get back into shape, you’ll be waiting forever.

There’s nearly always a way around it. You’ve just got to find what works for you. đŸ’ȘđŸŒ

Which excuse are you most guilty of? 👀👇 by @jerrywalshcoaching

First week back in the gym and suddenly you think you’re the strongest bloke in the building. 😂đŸ’ȘđŸŒ

We’ve all been there.

You remember what you used to lift, how often you used to train, and you want to get straight back to that level.

But trying to make up for months of missed training in one week is a brilliant way to burn yourself out before you’ve even got going. đŸ€ŠđŸŒâ€â™‚ïž

The goal isn’t to smash yourself in week one.

It’s to build something you can actually stick to.

Start sensible, leave your ego at the door, and give yourself time to get back to your best. đŸ‘ŠđŸŒ

“I need to think about it.”

Something I’ve heard during a coaching conversation recently.

And do you know what? Fair enough. 😂

I’m never going to pressure someone into paying for coaching if they’re not ready.

But it did get me thinking

How many times do we tell ourselves we’re going to make a change, only to find ourselves in exactly the same position six months later?

I’ve been there myself.

You know what you want. You know you’re capable of getting there. But life gets busy, you put it off, and suddenly another few months have flown by.

And sometimes, all it takes is someone asking you a question you don’t really want to answer.

What’s actually going to be different this time?

Whether someone decides to work with me or not, I genuinely want to see them succeed.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not about convincing someone to buy coaching.

It’s about helping them realise they’re capable of more than they think.

And sometimes that starts with an uncomfortable conversation.

You don’t need to have everything figured out. But at some point, you’ve got to back yourself and take that first step. by @jerrywalshcoaching

Spent 8 hours grafting on site and now you’re supposed to go and smash a gym session? Lovely. 😂

I know the feeling.

When you’ve got early starts, long days and a physically demanding job, getting yourself to the gym isn’t always easy.

But here’s the thing

You don’t need to train like someone who’s got unlimited time and energy to get back in shape.

You need to train smarter.

đŸ’Ș Plan your sessions around your working week.

🎒 Get your gym kit ready so there’s one less excuse.

⏱ Have a shorter session up your sleeve for those days when you’re absolutely knackered.

😮 And actually prioritise your recovery.

There’s no point writing yourself a six-day training programme if you’re only realistically going to manage three.

Consistency beats a perfect plan you never follow.

Your job might be demanding, but that doesn’t mean getting back in shape is off the cards.

You’ve just got to make it work around your life, not the other way around.

📌 Save this for the next time work’s absolutely battered you. by @jerrywalshcoaching

I’m a fitness coach, but fitness isn’t my entire personality.

I work full-time, train, enjoy a night out with my mates and occasionally have weeks where everything feels like it’s happening at once.

And that’s exactly why I don’t believe getting in shape should mean putting the rest of your life on hold.

I want the people I coach to be able to have a laugh with me, tell me when they’ve had a rubbish week, and feel comfortable being honest rather than pretending everything’s going perfectly.

Because that’s when you can actually work together and make progress.

No pretending to be some perfect fitness influencer over here.

Just a normal bloke who loves training and helping people get back to their best. 👊 by @jerrywalshcoaching

How many times have you told yourself, “Right, this time I’m actually getting back into shape”? 😂

You start off well, get a few decent sessions in, sort your diet out
then work gets busy, the weekend comes around and before you know it, you’re back to square one.

Sound familiar?

The thing is, if you’ve been in shape before, chances are you already know what you need to do.

But knowing what to do and actually doing it consistently are two completely different things.

At some point, you’ve got to stop waiting for that perfect Monday and start building a routine that works around your actual life.

If you’re fed up with constantly starting again and you’re genuinely ready to get back into shape properly, that’s exactly who I help.

DM me “READY” and let’s have a chat. 👊 by @jerrywalshcoaching

You don’t need to be a beginner to feel like one.

Sometimes you just fall out of it.

Work gets busy, your routine disappears, you have a few heavy weekends, miss a Monday
then somehow you’ve barely trained all week 😂

And when you finally get yourself back in there, it can be pretty humbling.

Especially when you remember exactly what you used to lift, how you used to look and how consistent you used to be.

That’s the bit I’ve struggled with before.

You’re not comparing yourself to everyone else. You’re comparing yourself to the version of you that had everything clicking.

But you haven’t suddenly become a beginner again.

You’re just finding your feet. Give yourself a bit of time and start building that momentum back. đŸ‘ŠđŸŒ by @jerrywalshcoaching

If your gym mate cancels
does your workout get cancelled as well? 😂

There’s nothing wrong with training with someone. It can make the gym more enjoyable, give you a bit more confidence and help get you through the door.

But you don’t want your entire routine depending on whether someone else is free.

Start small. Have your session planned before you go, try a quieter time if that helps, and start doing the odd session by yourself.

You don’t need to stop training with your mates — you just want to get to the point where you don’t NEED them there to train.

Got a mate who refuses to go without you? Send them this 😂 by @jerrywalshcoaching

If your current training plan is basically “I’ll go when I get time”
that might be the problem 😂

You don’t need to train 6 days a week or spend 2 hours in the gym to get yourself back in shape.

Pick 3 days that actually work around your life, get them in the calendar and make those sessions count.

Once you’re consistently smashing those? Then think about adding more.

Start with what you can repeat — not the most you can possibly do.

📌 Save this and use it to plan your training next week.

And if you know someone whose training schedule is currently “whenever I can be arsed”
send it to them 😂 by @jerrywalshcoaching

Probably the biggest reality check I had after travelling.

Losing the weight was one thing, but realising how far I’d fallen from the version of myself I was used to was completely different.

I’d spent years getting stronger and building a physique I was confident in, so when that disappeared, it definitely knocked me more than I expected.

And the worst part was, I wasn’t looking at other people thinking “I wish I looked like them.”

I was looking at old versions of myself thinking, “Fuck, I want to feel like that again.”

I reckon a lot of lads who’ve fallen out of training can probably relate to that.

Slowly building it back though. We’re getting there!

Anyone else ever felt like this after time away from training? by @jerrywalshcoaching
