In just one week the Jersey City motorcycle squad has issued more than 650 summons to bad drivers. This crew was around in the early 1900s but eventually disbanded in 2015 due to mismanagement and out of commission Harley Davidsons. Orlando first reached out to my office because he was about to lose his housing in the Heights—at the age of 68 and after a lifetime of service in the Army. Our Resident Response Center acted swiftly to keep Orlando in his home and in the city he loves. It was a joy to hear Orlando's story in person, to thank him for his dedication to Jersey City, and to talk about our fight to make Jersey City's housing affordable. by @jerseycitynj

Jersey City has applied for THREE TIMES as much grant funding in just the first quarter of 2026 than the City did for ALL of 2025. Why does that matter? Every dollar we receive in grant funding is a dollar we save of YOUR taxpayer money. It was a beautiful day for the 2,000 cyclists (!!!) who showed up for the 16-mile Bike JC Jersey City Ward Tour. Now in its 15th year, the Ward Tour serves as Bike JC's largest fundraiser for year-round advocacy, education, and programming. by @jerseycitynj

Mayor Solomon joined in the fun of Surati Holi Hai, the annual festival of colors at Exchange Place that brings the traditions of India’s Holi festival to the local community. The event marks the arrival of spring and the triumph of good over evil, embodying the essence of Holi. Participants gather to play with colors, throwing powdered hues at each other. The festival also features traditional music and dance performances and great food. Surati Holi Hai not only celebrates Indian culture but also promotes diversity and inclusivity within the Jersey City community, inviting people of all backgrounds to enjoy. This event is made possible in part by funds from the Jersey City Arts and Culture Trust fund. by @jerseycitynj
