Meet Beans! 🐾

He’s the happiest, little one-eyed puppy and newest member of our family! Beans loves people, hopping around, and Gumby (can’t say the feeling is mutual).

Big thanks to the @the_lovepetproject for a smooth adoption process! We love our little Beansie so much! taken in Indianapolis, Indiana by @jerthebear22

Had a lovely time with @gonzo_black_mamba yesterday laying down some drums for a project @rev.stefan is working on. Also, pleasantly surprised that @hanes men's medium boxers do an INCREDIBLE job muffling drum heads. Hoping sponsorship is soon to come...
😂🤣😂

Man, after a very long siesta from music this year, it is good to be back on the kit and creating again!!

The other day my student Pierce had his FIRST studio experience at @b2rmtpleasantsc and he KILLED IT!!! His song of choice was Handlebars by @flobotsmusic and he knocked out the final take in 3 tries. He's my first student to REQUEST using a metronome haha! I'm so proud of this little dude and the talented musician he is becoming! 🤘

This is a doubles warmup that I came up with to help me not only speed up my doubles, but to also understand doubles in a triplet feel. I also LOVE practicing my rudiments on a pillow because it helps to strengthen my forearm muscles. Drummers, if you have any exercises that you like to work on, let me know! I'd love to hear them!

My biggest struggle has been being melodic while soloing. Recently, I've been working on keeping a "melody" or theme throughout a solo, and coming back to it, like you would a hook or a chorus line in a song. I feel like this has been helping my solos sound more groovy and less "choppy". What are some tricks that you use in your solos?
