When I read ‘The Everlasting’ this past fall I was absolutely enchanted by this genderbent take on medieval knights with a time travel twist. ⁣

I think the premise of chasing a true love across time the embodiment of romance and I was swept away by Harrow’s unique storytelling. ⁣

The prologue just about threw me off but once I pushed through I can say that I really enjoyed Maddie and Bram’s forbidden romance. Who doesn’t love a nanny/single dad, co-worker romance? ⁣
⁣
You can always tell when the authors have fun writing their books and this one is no different. Although I think the formatting for the footnotes on the ebook could have been better. It was extremely annoying flipping back and forth and honestly? I gave up on them. ⁣

This writing duo is top notch! ⁣

“Soul Searching isn’t an “in your face” kind of a romance. I loved how subdued the heat was in order to let the characters shine.

I loved the ghostly aspect of the town and particularly how Collins gift of being able to see and interact with ghosts is directly related to her success as a photographer is so unique. Brady is the perfect counterpart for Collin as she comes home to lick her wounds.”

It’s Tessa. PLUS…sports. Of course I loved it. ⁣
⁣
Not only that, BUT Skylar is a bad-ass D1 softball pitcher and gives zero fucks about Robbie, his hockey prowess, or any of his swagger. ⁣

Naturally, Robbie falls first and their fake relationship shenanigans spill over from a competition with Skylar’s family. ⁣
⁣
Tessa is the best at making me laugh, swoon, and be the human embodiment of heart eyes by the end of each book. ⁣

I adore every single new story from Beatriz Williams. Her storytelling is rich, her characters are nuanced and everything ties together so beautifully that I’m always hard pressed to stop reading once the novel is nearly done. ⁣

Even if you think you won’t like historical fiction, I guarantee you will adore Beatriz Williams. Under the Stars dazzles and I cannot recommend it enough! ⁣
