I think when politicians say "thoughts and prayers," they're really asking for themselves because they are not able to think enough to find the solution to a problem that should not exist and they gotta "pray" on it collectively to still get absolutely nothing done.

We are dystopia. When the solution is to buy, a largely unaffordable, bulletproof backpack for CHILDREN. That. Oh by the way may or may not be too heavy for them to actually use properly IN CASE (when) they have this absolutely traumatizing event occur.

Experiencing this on a personal and professional level simultaneously while dealing with all the chaos that the world has been sunce COVID hit... the healing takes a lot of work. Many ups and downs and wondering if I'll ever be myself again. Not knowing who I am anymore. Not knowing what is reality and what isn't because so many people made me question my thoughts, experiences, and feelings. It was so consistent through all of my core relationships that I genuinely felt crazy. Like I had lost all grip of reality, and the entire world knew. I have never felt so raw, naked, vulnerable, and exposed. I felt, and still do somedays, feel completely made of glass. As though everyone who interacts with me or looks at me sees the doubt through the facade.

There is no facade. These people groomed me into believing these things. Yes. I'm still healing. And likely always will be.

Allowing yourself the space and grace to have bad days and set boundaries is crucial. It hurts in the beginning. So many people leave your life. People who you thought were there for you. People you thought you'd need most. It sucks. It feels like death. And it is. Luckily, this death feeds and nutures your rebirth to see with new eyes, feel with a new heart, and live a more aligned life.

But the pathway it opens up for you to heal from that time is beyond words. by @jesrude

@pearlmania500 my man makes some excellent points. Why are we doing this?! We are on a space rock, spiraling through space, with astounding sites around us ON OUR OWN PLANET, yet we're fucking working. FOR WHAT! FOR WHAT.

I have kids as a millenial, it costs a mortgage to send them to daycare, but both guardians HAVE to work just to survive. We are expected ro work like we don't have a life outside of work and life like we don't work. WHICH IS IT? because trying to do both is asinine.

Before you tell me "it takes a village", don't. There is not fucking village anymore. If you have one, great; I'm happy for you. But most of us do not.

Add on top of all that, we are seen as lazy. Again, HOW. boomers, do you not recall all the support you received on various levels? Don't get me started on cost of living and inflation.
