Early Social Scene is excited to partner with @sofarlouisville to bring you an intimate and upbeat live music experience.

If you've never been to a Sofar show, this is a unique opportunity to enjoy a variety of live music performances (ranging from acoustic, to hip-hip, to full bands) - but who's performing is a always a fun surprise!

These shows happen all over the world, and I (Jess), photographed the first 13 shows in Louisville back in 2019 alongside my friend Jayme, who brought the series to Louisville. Scroll to see some of those early throwback shows. 😄 We're excited to be partnering again!

I got a sneak peek at @voilacocktailbar 👀 and let’s just say @softdad_ has officially stamped their name on something special. 🍸

Whenever I would visit Em bartending around town, they would always offer unique cocktails on the spot depending on what I was in the mood for. I loved seeing that aspect on the menu, and what their staff delivered was incredible!

@mkuhlens loves mezcal so she got the “pineapple on pizza”, the “Hey There Cowboy,” and I love citrus so I enjoyed the “Yap session” and their amazing on-the-spot ginger martini concoction. 💯

Voila is a beautiful space that prioritizes sustainable ingredients… we all know how much extra care and attention that takes.

Their official opening date is Oct. 15. Go check them out!

I’m still finding words for my 40th birthday weekend.. the only one that comes to mind is perfect. 🥹🥂😩🩷

We had kitchen dance parties, laughed until we cried, formed inside jokes we will be saying for years come, saw over 20 whales, and brought the party everywhere we went.

I said I never get surprised and these women showed up day after day pouring into me and each other. If this is how my 40s are gonna be, I’m all in. 💙

I know it's easy to obsess over "likes," but those do no equate to business, money, or longevity.

People buy, attend, and support - but still don't seem to "like" the post the sent them there. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I've been doing social over a decade, and I've seen it play out like this for years. And it continues to play out this way as more people start to use these platforms as search engines.

So what do you do?

If you're a consumer, and a post actually gave you info that was impactful, maybe take that extra second to engage with it.

If you're a producer, keep your head up. It's not all about the engagement, its about showing up consistently, gaining trust, and being there when someone wants your service.

People are seeing it.
People are talking about it.
People are supporting...Just in different ways other thank LIKES.
