✨ Today is the last day to experience Dear New York by Brandon Stanton @humansofny —and to see me, Joy, and Kareen—three NYC public school teachers—featured in Grand Central Terminal and in the subway system.

This exhibit is historic. It honors the people of this city in a way only Brandon can. As someone who worked in advertising before becoming a teacher, I understand how monumental this is. Congratulations to everyone who brought this vision to life.

From my Brooklyn stoop to these iconic walls, this moment has been pure magic.

Our flowers. Our faces. Our stories.
On display for the city we love.

📍 To see us:
• Visit Grand Central Terminal – Vanderbilt Hall for the video loop
• Then go down to the 7 train platform in the station to see our photo

If you’re in New York, go feel it. 💛🌻

✨ Three years ago, during one of my very first floral solo events—a baby shower for my friends Jess & Sophia @jessking @sophiaurista —I was designing in front of my apartment, panicking at moments with tears, then tears of joy when Brandon showed up. It was the perfect Brooklyn day: stoop hangs, flowers, and love all around.

Brandon ♓️is the storyteller behind Humans of New York, @humansofny and years earlier he shared the story of Dr. Nadia Lopez, @thelopezeffect principal of Mott Hall Bridges Academy in Brownsville. That story led me to work there, where I met Kareen ♓️ . @reenieinmotion And Joy @joyfulmvmnt —another NYC teacher—came into my life through running. She even nominated me for one of my first teaching jobs in the Bronx.

So when the three of us stood together that day, it became a full-circle moment of teaching, friendship, and flowers.

Today, that moment lives on in Dear New York—Brandon’s breathtaking tribute to this city and its people. 🌻 Honored to be part of it. Go see us in Grand Central, and don’t forget to pick up the book. 💛 Congrats, Brandon!

And to my friends and family—thank you. Managing teaching, grad school, learning entrepreneurship, and coaching marathoners while still creating beautiful work is no easy feat. It truly takes a village, and I wouldn’t be here without your love and support. Forever grateful. 💐✨

✨ Dear New York ✨
The exhibit closes October 19, and I’m so glad Kareen, Joy, and I made time to see it together. 💛 We took photos, laughed, and felt grateful to share this full-circle moment.

If you’re looking for our photo, head to the 7 train — on your way, you’ll see a beautiful installation. It’s everywhere, and it’s amazing. 🌻

To celebrate, everyone received their flowers. 💐

Thank you, Brandon. 💛

Thank you to our friends and family for sharing our JOY ☀️🌞☀️
