I recently found out I carry the BRCA2 gene, which gave me up to an 80% chance of developing breast cancer. after a lot of thought, I chose to move forward with a prophylactic double mastectomy.

this past month has been one of the hardest & most humbling experiences of my life. it’s taught me to never take my health for granted.

I feel incredibly lucky to have so much love & support around me. I truly couldn’t have done this without my friends and family. I’m soooooooo grateful for you all, and so thankful I had the opportunity to make this choice for my future 💗 #tatafornow!! by @jess_puro
