As 2024 ends it is time to post my annual nursing recap. And it would feel very wrong to not post about one of my favorite moments from 2024, winning The Daisy Award 🌼 since I’ve won this award in July I have felt nothing but an outpouring love and support from my family, friends and co workers. Thank you to everyone who constantly supports me and pushes me to be the best person I can possibly be. As always, my nursing journey has just begun so, stay tuned because I’m just getting started 🩺♥️ XOXO DAISY DAUER 🌼💛 taken in Daisy Garden by @jessdauer

ALEXA PLAY GOOD MORNING BY KANYE WEST 🤩🩺💕

Today after 5 months I got to virtually walk across the stage as a Registered Nurse with my Advanced Associates Degree in Nursing from Genesee Community College.
An unexpected turn of events have lead me to spend 2 years at this school which have been the most stressful and rewarding moments of my schooling career. If I have learned one important lesson during my time spent at GCC it is this, things never goes as planned. You may fail a test, class, semester or let the negative comments weigh you down. But you take every setback and every obstacle and grow from it. You continue to learn and persevere until you get to where you want to be. You celebrate and appreciate the little accomplishments each day like finishing an assignment on time, memorizing a new medication or practicing a new skill at clinical. These little victories were constant reminders to keep pushing until I reached my goals of graduating nursing school, being pinned by one of the best nurses I know, passing the NCLEX in 75 questions, and landing a job in my dream hospital right after nursing school.
5 months post graduation and 1 semester away from completing my BSN at Daemen College, I am still so thankful to be a GCC alumni and will continue each day to be thankful for the little victories that allow me to keep growing. Thank you to everyone who has made such an impact on my nursing career big or small. My family, friends and all of the supporters, I thank you for the constant love, encouragement and never letting me give up on my dreams. This will not be the last of my sappy nursing posts because I assure you my nursing journey has just begun. Stay tuned cause I’m just getting started😉♥️💉 (also shoutout to @samlandahl for the grad cap, hit her up for all of your graduation cap needs😉💗)
