Jesus, you’re the prize.
You’re the reward.

How many times have I gotten it all wrong?.. Thousands, upon thousands?

Oh, when I had the revelation that my life wasn’t actually about me at all..
But a Lamb.

That when I could get my eyes off of myself, I began to see the fire in His that John prophesied about. I never could look away.

Everything I ever desired, transfigured. All that’s left is a deep longing for this crucified Man.

I began to get homesick for a place that I had only read about. A place of unfiltered communion with my Creator. Eden.

I began to understand Paul when he said “Everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ”.

Every glimpse of you, Lord, leads me back to the cross, where your love was poured out in the image of blood.
Blood..
Something so red, but makes me so.. white?

Back to the death that birthed quite the opposite.

Just when I thought it was all the things you could do for me, it’s actually.. you.

Ask me in a thousand years who I long for. It’s still you.

You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you;

I thirst for you,

my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.

I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.

Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.

I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.

I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods;

with singing lips my mouth will praise you.”

- Psalms 63.

What a joy it is to worship you, Jesus.
