Work in progress. Has a blast starting this grim reaper forearm piece- still a few hours to go but I couldn’t resist posting yet. It was so much fun designing this without an iPad or AI, just finding good photos, printing them the right size, cutting them up, pasting them together, refining and blending them together with pencil crayon. I have the best job in the world and I love making things with my hands. Thank you to all my clients that have made this new career possible for me. I appreciate you all more than you know! I’m really proud of this one. Quickly drew this in the hour before my appointment with my client Joshua. I’m very thankful for my mentor @antonyflemming for stressing the importance of drawing every day, and encouraging me to do everything on paper by hand. I feel a real confidence in my drawing and I feel proud that I was able to do such a successful drawing and tattoo. Already posted a video but just so in love with this tattoo I wanted to post the original drawing and closeup photos. When you walk into a clean house, you take your shoes off and you know to keep it clean. When you walk into a dirty house, you may keep your shoes on and you may leave your garbage where you’ve been. The environment you are in such a standard and commands a degree of respect. The studio is not only beautiful. It is superfluous. It is beautiful and comfortable beyond necessity. It creates an immediate feeling of calm and ease when you enter. The feeling goes far beyond the physical appearance because it is matched by an equal degree of hospitality. The owner @antonyflemming goes beyond what’s reasonable to provide a good experience for clients. Offering things like free coffee, pop, monster to clients. That’s because some things are worth more than money. This is a space that values art and human experience more than money. I’m grateful to be a part of somewhere with real values. Oni mast work in progress!! my client Gabriel chose one of the hardest spots to get tattooed. Absolute legend move. After about seven hours of tattooing, we called it a day and we will be finishing the piece in September. Right now I am fully booked until September and am thinking about launching a promotion for a large scale hand drawn Japanese style work!
