Extremely grateful to be a part of another somatika Kananaskis Wellness Retreat 💕🫶🏼 The most relaxing weekend, in the most beautiful location. This weekend was filled with sound baths, saunas, full moon ceremony (@sun.andsage_ 🌕), learning about new wellness modalities (TCM and EFT), drum circles (@earth.harmony.sound.wellness 🪘) connecting with old friends and making some new ones. And of course the delicious food and lots of rain. Thank you Meghan and Daren for creating this welcoming and relaxing space. It came at a much needed time! Also plotting my inevitable move out to the mountains. See you all in September for the next one ✨✌🏻 #somatika #wellnessretreat #kananaskiswellness by @jesseatsplantsx

@savedasea does it again! This plant-based tuna salad is made with jackfruit, chickpea & faba protein, among other ingredients. I added mashed up chickpeas, red onion, pickles, red pepper, a smidge of vegan mayo, and spices (salt, pepper, dill) to turn it into this open faced bagel of deliciousness. #savedasea by @jesseatsplantsx

Birthday shenanigans pt 2: this is your sign to host a birthday cafe! Café Jess ☕️🥐 Homemade croissants (chocolate and classic), “egg” bites (leek/bacon & spinach/feta - with chickpea flour, anyone want the recipe?), banana bread, cinnamon buns (sneaky vegan from @ikeacanada), thumbies and kifle (the crowd favourite), raspberry muffins, and fruit salad for eats. Drinks included homemade cold brew, espressos, americanos, pink lemonade, and orange juice. Super grateful for the friends who made it out, and those who sent birthday wishes from a far 💕🎉🫶🏻 Also shoutout to @signsby.pom for the cutest Cafe Jess banner ✨ This may be one of my favourite birthdays yet! Looking forward to this year and all the amazing adventures to come! Chapter 33 loading… by @jesseatsplantsx
Birthday shenanigans part 1: apparently the theme for this next trip around the sun is vegan pastries and step counts. We grabbed pastries from my favourite vegan bakery, @canelayyc, and headed to the mountains! Apparently, everyone else had the same birthday plans because I met 6 other people who also had birthdays this weekend. We ran into two ladies wearing birthday hats, and when they found out it was also my birthday, they gave us two birthday hats to wear! Gorgeous views and tasty pastries! Dinner was the @padmanadi buffet! All you can eat of all of my favourite dishes. The strawberry matcha cupcakes were 👩🏼‍🍳💋 Very grateful for the opportunity to age and looking forward to this next trip around the sun ✌🏻☀️ by @jesseatsplantsx
Earth is the only planet with tacos, so let’s take care of it 🌱🫶🏼🌮 Eat your plants. Spend time in nature. Limit your consumption. Hug a tree or two.
