Happy birthday @lauriefaen 🤟
Wanted to share some love and wish you a special day there in Australia. We will celebrate you again tomorrow here in America on June 9th!
Been awhile since I was on social media or posted virtually anything since the motorcycle accident, but you showed up for me big time then, so least I can do is let you know how much your visit meant and just say how proud I am to call you dad ❤️
Was a scary first week in hospital, but having you fly over and sleep a night in my room sure settled nerves and made me feel safer.
It was humbling needing your help for virtually everything while bedridden. Being unable to brush my teeth or clean my own butt… You brought smiles and lots of fruit, and cared for the people I love, like @avawar @alwider @gypsyjamesfaen @jessiesamedi to name a few. I loved seeing you meet my friends and hear them tell me how stoked they were to spend time with you too. Heart warming stuff 🙏
It was sad to see you leave a month later and still be in the nursing home, but I can’t imagine how slow that experience would have felt without your presence and support.
Love you Pop, and sure hope we have many more chapters together without hospital food on the menu x by @jessefaen

We’ve shared so many incredible moments these past few years and I’m so grateful. You’ve constantly enhanced my experiences and supported me through so much. Such a beautiful, special soul, and the maker of dreams. So glad you were born and so sorry I keep spoiling the fun plans…. You’ve been an angel throughout my accident and always stoke my heart with your smiles. So much love for you. Scored this beautiful 10’1” Simmons inspired tiny twin keel glider yesterday - thanks to a well timed birthday board trade - crafted by my dear old mate @christianbeamish 🙌 Soon as I saw it, knew I had to give her a spin, especially for the 1ft and under days… and this first solo session at the Queen of the coast confirmed my thinking. Incredible speed and delicate connection to the waves energy and sections. Can’t wait for some smoother days and any other excuse to paddle her into some good times 🤙

Grateful to be 50!
Fortunate for the family I was born into, brothers and sisters I’ve been gifted along the way, loves and losses, inspiration and lessons from others, and slowing growing up one day at a time 🙏
Wouldn’t have made it without my surfing lifestyle and amazing adventures around the world, sharing time with special people and seeing so much beauty 🤙
This past year has been full, and I know how lucky I am to be @gypsyjamesfaen dad and have @avawar by my side ❤️
