Anyone who spends time with these two would not be surprised to learn that they are absolute beasts on the field. Totally fierce and fearless! It’s been one of my greatest joys as a dad and a coach to watch them grow into such amazing well-rounded women. by @jessek_g

Happy birthday mom. You would have been 71 today and absolutely loved seeing your grandbabies grow up. I’m so glad we had two incredible girls because they each get to share a piece of your name. They remind me of you more and more each year. Recently, they’ve been pulled to the piano with so much focus and passion and it fills me with a joy I can’t even describe. I’ve tried to teach them the way you taught me, and I hope it will keep with them for life. This is our fave little corner of the house, with you right there watching over the piano.

My favourite corner of the house. I love how much time my girls spend here, even when we ask them to get their breakfast, pack their lunch, go to bed...
I can’t even get mad that they need to play that song they just played 10 times in a row for an 11th time. Even if it’s now on trumpet sometimes? When we moved here I found this piano that was the same make that my mom had. The same one I had so many good memories on. It brings me so much joy that this little corner will fill our girls with memories of their own. by @jessek_g

What an amazing long weekend with @poochiedkg and the girls at @clubskibromont. We arrived just in time for some fresh snow fall, only to see it all melt as we were leaving. Amazing groomers, really fun glades and some steep blacks. Will definitely be back next year at peak winter conditions! by @jessek_g

I usually don’t post long rants and carousels from concerts but this was a once in a lifetime. The Beatles have been my favourite since I first heard Sgt Pepper’s when I was 15, when I realized they were so much more than Love Me Do (no disrespect, this is a perfect pop song). But even when I didn’t know the difference between who wrote the songs, I was always a Paul guy.
I truly love Lennon songs, I wish I could hear him perform them. You could feel their absence last night. One of the most beautiful Beatles songs ever is a George song. Something. Paul performed it on ukulele last night as a tribute and it was such a nice moment.
But Paul is one of the greatest songwriters and melody writers of all time. He’s hard to top.
When Paul came out wearing that all-black Beatles three-piece suit and they started playing Help, 30 years of nostalgia hit me and I started welling up. Help isn’t even a top 10 Beatles song for me but the moment felt totally surreal.
Definitely feeling very blessed for experiencing that. It feels incredible to have crossed off one of my biggest bucket list items, next to actually being able to interview him. That will always be on the list. by @jessek_g
