The Domino fell - but the pieces are still scattered. 🚓

When Detective Nina Rose arrested her serial killer father, The Domino, she became an overnight sensation. Years later, the glory has faded but the hurt remains; Nina’s relationship with her sister Laura never recovered.

With a new killer in town and Laura’s daughter missing, the sisters must work together, following the convoluted and sometimes absurd trail uncovering dark secrets from their past.

Just a little over a week ago, I had the privilege of wrapping up the production of my debut feature film, "The Daughters of the Domino." It's difficult to put into words just how incredible and challenging this experience has been. But today, I want to express my deepest gratitude to the entire cast and crew who poured their hearts and souls into this project, making it truly unforgettable. 🙏❤️

Each and every member of the team dedicated themselves to long days and late nights, pushing the boundaries of creativity and perseverance. Without their unwavering commitment and passion, this film would never have come alive. From the gripping performances of the talented cast to the tireless efforts of the hardworking crew, every individual played an essential role in crafting something truly special.

While many may perceive filmmaking as a "director's game" or a "producers game," I wholeheartedly believe that it is a collaborative experience where every part is equally important. From the writer who brought the story to life to the PA's who tirelessly supported the production, every single person left an indelible mark on this project, shaping it into something far greater than any individual's contribution. Together, we created magic. *I* didn't make a movie, *we* made a movie.

I wish I could mention each and every crew member by name and express my gratitude for their invaluable contributions, but alas, we are limited by word count. However, please know that I am eternally grateful to each and every one of you who played a part in bringing this film to life. Your dedication, talent, and unwavering support will forever hold a special place in my heart. Thank you from the bottom of my soul.

As we move forward into post-production, I am filled with anticipation and excitement for what the future holds for "The Daughters of the Domino." I promise to cherish this experience, and I will carry the memories of our collaborative journey for the rest of my life. Stay tuned for updates, and once again, thank you for being a part of this remarkable adventure. 🎥🌟 by @jessemcanally

Happy 13th anniversary to my best friend in the whole world! I’m so grateful that the kids we used to be grew into adults who still are still crazy about each other! Can’t wait to spend the rest of my days with you! I love you @mmmoffat 💕 by @jessemcanally

This month I’m continuing a rundown of all new films I’ve watched for the first time in the month of October. Once again thank you to @wondermeg_ for letting me rip her off so blatantly.

I’m trying to actively watch more films, and more varied films, so I figured this would be a fun way to keep track of it. I’m going to see if I can keep this going for as many months as possible. Since I’m a “”professional”” media analyst now, I guess it’s time I actually start analyzing some media.

A lot of spooky stuff for the spooky month, and a great mix of things I loved and stuff that really did not work for me (sorry Primetime lovers).

Take a look and let me know your opinions too! Have a great November. by @jessemcanally

The Daughters of the Domino is bringing its Canadian Premiere to the Toronto Indie Horror Film Festival @toihorrorfest!

Join us on October 10, 2026 at 5:45 PM for a modern noir thriller that delves into the dark side of family connection!

We are incredibly honored to screen alongside so many fantastic spooky films. If you’re in the Toronto area, we would love to see you there!

To the incredible cast and crew: thank you for bringing this vision to life! by @jessemcanally

I’m trying something new that I am openly ripping off from @wondermeg_ : a monthly rundown of everything I’ve watched.

I’m trying to actively watch more films, and more varied films, so I figured this would be a fun way to keep track of it. I’m going to see if I can keep this going for as many months as possible. Or maybe I just do this once this September and shrug it off. We’ll see!

And since I’m a “”professional”” media analyst now, I guess it’s time I actually start analyzing some media.

One rule: these will only be first-time watches. No rewatches, no old favorites — just stuff I’m seeing for the first time. So enjoy my all caps, rarely punctuated, photoshop general thoughts that I will change if I please in however many years when I suddenly discover The Love Hypothesis is a hidden masterpiece.

Take a look and let me know your opinions too! Have a great October! by @jessemcanally
