Last week we played with @theallenband in Toronto at the Distillery District, and we played this cover of Jolene. With no idea at the time that Dolly Parton would be leaving us just next week. Here’s a clip of it in tribute to the late, great Dolly Parton, with the very talented @aimeeallenmusic on vocals.

I had a great time playing lap steel and guitar on this new track by @emilymyersmusic called “Smoke”. It sounds really great! Thank you to Emily and @theslicemusic for having me be a part of it. Great job to @brettryanstewart , @chrisbenelli and @cory_likes2_bass . It was a blast to record live in the room with them in Nashville.

I had a great two-day mini tour with Tim Magwood & The Riffers, in Toronto and Collingwood, Ontario. We played the legendary El Mocambo, opening for the Crash Test Dummies at a charity event for Big Brothers Big Sisters. The great cellist @kevinfoxcello , who plays for Tom Cochrane, Steven Page, Sarah McLachlan etc joined us for the set. It was a blast to play with him too!

Friday night we played at Osler Bluff Ski Club for a new concert series that Tim has helped organize. What a great crowd for that show too!

It was really great to play with these guys again. I always enjoy working with Tim and this band, and it was great to be able to play two shows back to back! Look forward to doing it again for Tim’s release party on April 10th at The Rivoli, Toronto!

Some slide hammer-ons and pull-offs, and extended runs on one string, from a few years back out on the deck! I had thought it would be a fun idea to film out there. I’m sorry neighbours!

I had a great photoshoot with @greggrothstudios this week, and Gregg captured one of me with his dog, Hank, at the end of the shoot. So glad to get one with Hank! Gregg is an amazing photographer who has captured some of the great artists, and it was a real pleasure to get to work with him!
