While people are out in full force celebrating No Kings Day, I want to take a moment to celebrate this Queen on her birthday.

Life really kicks some people while they're down, and @yaycha is no exception to its particular kind of ruthlessness. But I see her resilience, fortitude, compassion, and empathy, and I'm in awe of her to roll with the punches.

My completed 2025 Reddit r/Fantasy Bingo card!

Fun stats:
— 16 books were written by new-to-me authors.
— 4 were written by women (I need to increase that for 2026).
— 10 were audiobooks, 14 books, and 1 video game.
— 4 books got a MEH reaction, which is a great ratio!
— 5 books were the start of a new series (I think).

I attempted to tally the genre mix, but many of these books are mixed genres spanning fantasy, sci-fi, horror, literary fiction, and LitRPG.

I completed The Wheel of Time series. I read classics like Dracula, Blackwater, and Watership Down. I really enjoyed The Tainted Cup, Heroes Die, Bury Your Gays, and Incidents Around the House.

Another fantastic year of reading!

2025 was another fantastic reading year.

I finally finished #TheWheelOfTime series, which was one of my biggest reading achievements. What an ending to a series I began almost 25 years ago.

I got to experience Stephen King's IT, a book that blew me away compared to its screen adaptations.

I read one of @yaycha's favorite books, A Little Life, which I believe goes a long way to connecting with your partner on a subject they appreciate.

I entered so many other dark, mysterious, and enchanting worlds, and revisited many in an ongoing series.

I've also recommended books that people have enjoyed individually and in book clubs. Spreading the joy of reading to friends and family is truly something special. taken in Portland, Oregon by @jesserad

My 2024 Reddit r/Fantasy Bingo card is completed!

25 books, 25 different authors, no repeats. Each book fell under a different category like "Alliterative Title," "Published in the 1990s," or "Author of Color." Another year of reading some fantastic stories.

My POV all weekend if I wasn't sleeping. I missed my work holiday dinner, missed a show I've been looking forward to for months, but I'm trying to see the silver lining.

It's been nice reading the second book in this series from @thebookofeames. I'm glad I've got my kitty and my wife to keep me comfy. by @jesserad

I'm not a big festival goer but seeing the final year of Furnace Fest was an amazing experience.

In one place, I got to see Poison the Well, Snapcase, Evergreen Terrace, Unearth, H2O, Misery Signals, Better Lovers, Bury Your Dead, Bleeding Through, and so many more impressive performances.

Some of these bands I haven't seen in 20+ years, some never, and some I'll never see again because this was one of their final shows.

Just incredible.
