My why for social media has always been to help more moms and the mental health industry. Follow a long for more of journey. For so long. To long I’ve stayed silent. But last weekend when another family member had a similar experience (and sorry if you’re yelling in the middle of the neighborhood at 1 am you made it public and that’s sad) I can’t anymore.Navigating grieving a parent that is still alive who I so want to have a relationship with but can’t because of the other one is awful. Knowing my kids don’t get to grow up with him because of the abuse from the other one. If you or anyone you know has struggled with this my DMs are always open. This is one of the hardest things but at the end of the day they are adults and we all have decisions to make and my children will always come first.I was always told you’re so mature for your age and that I grew up so fast and always wanted the next thing. Yeah it was to escape what was waiting at home for me. Holding my sweet baby boy the day I had him made me question everything on how a parent can treat a child the way I was treated. ESPECIALLY being adopted.Years of therapy later and still in therapy and on medication I’m being the best mom I can and breaking the cycle. No more generational trauma only generational healing 🤍❤️‍🩹 @noahkahanmusic has saved my hurt this summer with this album.
