🌀 SGI STORM WATCH | 6 PM RECAP 🌪️🐾

For our Instagram audience, the Ocean’s 11-16 newsroom has experienced approximately 47 breaking news events, multiple workplace safety violations, and an unexpected maritime investigation.

Here’s what you missed:

🚨 MANAGEMENT UNDER ATTACK: Executive Producer Jessica narrowly escaped a hurricane shutter to the head, only to sustain an actual shin injury during round two. She later managed to rip the exterior handle clean off a sliding glass door. OSHA has been notified. Builder Bob’s construction division remains under investigation.

🐾 PENNY GOES REMOTE: After being terrorized by a runaway shutter, our Field Correspondent negotiated a work-from-home arrangement as Director of Remote Surveillance & Maternal Safety. She now supervises her mama through the glass.

🌉 ISLAND-BOUND: The sheriff announced the bridge closure. Meanwhile, the Gulf continues its unauthorized beachfront real estate acquisition.

🌪️ DOUBLE TORNADO TROUBLE: Two tornado warnings interrupted programming. Everyone survived, but the house has developed two unauthorized water features around the sliding doors.

⛵ MARITIME DELIVERY: During a canine potty break, Jessica spotted a mast down the beach and discovered an ENTIRE SAILBOAT washed ashore. No pirates or marooned captains found. Sheriff’s office notified.

🐾 CANINE OPERATIONS: Emergency Operations Director Brady demanded outdoor bathroom privileges, sporting Penny’s department-approved PINK rain gear. Meanwhile, Penny became mesmerized by the crashing waves, apparently inheriting her mama’s meteorological curiosity.

🎓 RETURN ON TUITION: After 39 Florida hurricane seasons, Jessica’s Meteorology minor is FINALLY earning its keep. Unfortunately, the curriculum didn’t cover hurricane shutter combat, maritime salvage, or canine trauma counseling.

🌀 LIVE FROM ST. GEORGE ISLAND: HURRICANE ISAIAS WATCH 🌀

Reporting live from the beach, where the skies are angry, the waves are dramatic, and our highly qualified meteorological team is hard at work.

🎤 Chief Meteorologist Bob is conducting very scientific wind-speed measurements and monitoring conditions with his trusty equipment.

🔨 Builder Bob (yes, the same Bob) is also heading up our emergency preparedness division, installing hurricane shutters as a precaution. Apparently our Chief Meteorologist doubles as the Director of Construction. Licensing status unconfirmed. 🤣

🎀 Field Correspondent Penny reports that the drizzle is deeply offensive, the wind is ruining her hair, and she would like to speak to management immediately.

🐾 Emergency Operations Director Brady is supervising the relocation of outdoor furniture and ensuring everyone else is doing their jobs. He has contributed absolutely no manual labor but remains confident in his leadership abilities.

As for the humans, we’re expecting winds around 40 mph, which we’ve weathered before. However, the bridges close at 45 mph, so that’s making things a little more interesting. Tornadoes are also on our list of things we’d very much prefer NOT to experience.

We’re keeping a close eye on conditions and deciding whether to ride things out at the beach or relocate to my sturdier condo in town. Safety first, of course!

Morale remains high. Shutters are going up. The dogs are demanding compensation. As long as the power stays on and the snacks hold out, we’re in good spirits!
