I’ve been getting emails over the past week or so about a lot of counterfeit copies of the Forager’s Daughter Tarot on various websites like Temu, AliExpress, Amazon, Shein, and even Etsy. This has been a huge problem for a while in the indie tarot community, and unfortunately, it’s now affecting my work in a big way as well.

I know many of you are aware of these awful practices and avoid buying decks from these sites. But I wanted to share a quick announcement on what to look out for when you see The Forager’s Daughter tarot (and any other deck, really) on any of these sites.

First, I want to clarify that I am the only authorized seller of the FD Tarot. If you aren’t getting it through my Etsy or webshop, it is most likely a counterfeit. This of course excludes people selling their own personal copies, but otherwise those are the two places where an authentic deck can be purchased.

The second thing to note is that the authentic FD Tarot comes with a full sized, hardcover guidebook. I sell the cards and the book as a set, not on their own. There are no digital copies of the guidebook available, and any deck being sold without the physical guidebook is, most likely, a counterfeit.

The third thing to be aware of is the style of box the cards come in. All editions of the tarot deck, including the first and second editions with dark borders (which is now out of print, so definitely a scam if you see new circulations of these), come in a hard box, either a two-piece with thumb-cut or the magnetic clamshell style. The FD Tarot is NOT sold in a tuck box!

I will continue to submit copyright reports when I can, and I ask that if you see any of these counterfeits to also report the listing and seller if you’re able to. I’ve had so many kind people reach out to let me know this is happening, and I can’t say enough how much I appreciate that kindness. I know that the work I create is unique, and I know how much effort, time, and labor I’ve put into all my pieces, and that’s what draws people to it. So, I’m holding onto that thought as I try to navigate these bad feelings. Thank you all for being there, being aware, and for your compassion. by @jessicaleihoward

The Paragon is a reminder that it is the actions or marks we make in life that reflect our character and values. So whatever you apply yourself to, do it with authenticity, knowing it is a reflection of your character.

Meditation tells us to sit, be at peace with ourselves and our surroundings and let emotions and experiences flow through you, but don't let them linger for too long. Brooding over a problem won't dolve it - reframe your way of seeing it and be calm.

Since producing #theforagersdaughtertarot Jess Howard's illustration has become more sophisticated and detailed in her new oracle deck. Yet both still complement each other wonderfully in a reading.

Each card has so many layers to examine, from the individual symbolism of the animal, plant or mineral pictured, to the title, and then the overall story. So pleased I have this new release in my collection!

As the waves pull us in uncontrollable directions, we often find ourselves looking for a lifeline to grab hold of.

The Deckhand appears to guide us toward those points of stability, where we can stop swimming against the current for a while.

Many of us know someone in our lives that we look to as an anchor. Maybe you are the one to take on this role for others. It’s easy to forget that these sources of security also have their own stresses going on.

The Deckhand reminds us to periodically check the tension in our lines and take note of our surroundings. How do you know when it’s time to pull up and move on, or remain anchored and weather out the storm?

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been out looking for thresholds - spaces that lead from one thing to the next. Stone entryways, brick paths, places that mark one way of being as different from another.

It was a bit like a treasure hunt, and ended up being a lot more exciting than I initially expected. The process spoke to the kid in me - finding these transitionary spaces that might normally be overlooked, seeing familiar landscapes differently. Curiosity led the way, and I love that.

I brought paper and conte crayon with me to capture these thresholds. They’ll be part of the Autumn Wilds collection as special printed pieces, along with other handmade objects and gentle practices that invite us to look at familiar landscapes a little differently.

Tats for Cats is an annual fundraiser hosted by Alleycats & Aristocats that brings tattoo artists, piercers, and other members of the community together to raise money for their rescue efforts. I love cats, rescued a mom and her kittens a few years ago, and just recently had that health scare with our own kitty. So when Dawn, an integrative pediatrician and long-time community member, asked if I’d be interested in donating some work, I immediately said YES!

Dawn will have a table where she and her colleagues will offer readings and share practices for using tarot for insight and inspiration. She’ll also have some pieces from me - the Forager’s Daughter Tarot, the new Envoys & Artifacts oracle, and a handful of printed artwork - for sale and raffle.
