Bikepacking por Navarra con @mujeres_en_bici en la Basandere Women’s Rally 🚲

(English in comments)

Espero volver a veros a todas en Córdoba en noviembre ❤️! taken in Pamplona, Spain by @jessicaluscher

July and August- These are quiet moments spent mainly in the Jura, skirting the border between France and Switzerland. I hadn’t explored that part of the country before and I loved the calm of the rolling fields, dense forests, and relatively smaller climbs compared to the alps in central and southern Switzerland. It was easy to wild camp or find small unmanned refugios to sleep indoors and food and water were never far. We spend a few days in Neuchatel at Pedaleo Bikepacking Festival, hanging by the lake, before heading back into the mountains and down towards Geneva. taken in Val de Mouthe by @jessicaluscher

GRLPCK Rally- July 24-July 31 2026.

50 of us rode Munich to Lausanne to specate the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. The rally was built on a simple idea: women’s sport deserves our investment, our presence, and our attention. We should celebrate women doing hard things, and together we can create a future where women’s racing is sponsored, televised, celebrated on its own global stage next to Men’s racing.

I’m proud of this ride. Likely one of the hardest efforts I’ve done, and it felt incredible to get to participate alongside so many stellar female athletes and feel like we are supporting a cause I passionately believe in.

So grateful for @grl.pck @oh__laura_ @hi__ami for pulling off a masterpiece event. The route was ambitious and beautiful. The sponsor help @sramroad @maurten_official @komoot @oakley @gozwift @canyon made it feel achievable.

Representation matters. Thank you for investing in our sport! ❤️ 🚲

This June my girlfriend @doc_mcawesome and I decided to drive across the US to visit her family in Montana. We brought her dog, Mojo, 4 bikes, and enough stuff to spend the rest of the summer out west. Here are some pics from our drive 🌻 🌈 ☀️ 🚗 🚲

A summary of our big trip in April 🇮🇹☀️⛱️🚲
(Better late than never 😆)

I loved Sardinia. The rocky beachside riding, the reappearing sea, sunsets on the water, the Italian snacks, the quiet winding roads and especially all of the wildflowers, which seemed to bloom perfectly the week we were there.

440 miles / 26,600 ft of climbing
60 friends to ride it with

As always thank you for making it all possible @laelsrallies @exploro.cc @wahoofitnessofficial @komoot it’s such a treat to be in this community!

6 days bikepacking across Sierra de los Gredos in central Spain - April 2026

Something about riding in a tshirt with snowcapped mountains in the distance really brought this experience home for me.

We kept the days relatively short and relaxed with plenty of climbing and terrain variety to keep us concentrated on our gravel bikes. Accommodation was a mix of camping along reservoirs and last minute hotel bookings when we needed more sleep. We cooked breakfasts and dinners at camp but took long lunches in pueblos in the afternoon to avoid the heat. The sun was already piercingly hot in the valley, which made me anxious about summer- but it’s much drier than Valencia (good) and something about the early morning mountain air in the Gredos made me feel calm and whole. I think when I pick my next place to live I want snowcapped peaks, so the Pyrenees might be a good place to look :)

Thanks @martaazana for coming up with the route and inviting me along 🫶

I’ve fallen behind on sharing why I’ve been up to since the move to Spain. Well, it’s been 2.5 months and I’m not settled yet… so in the meantime here are some more photos of our Canary Islands Adventure.

Our trip to the Canary Islands started just a few weeks after my move to Spain. After bikepacking in Ibiza and Formentera, I was excited to dive further into riding the country where I’d moved. We aimed for 5 islands in 7 days: La Graciosa, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, and Tenerife with carefully timed ferries inbetween.

Three of us brought gravel bikes with plans to ride off-road. We were coordinating our island-hopping schedule with friends riding the Agama Libre Rally — 30 women covering big road miles between set points each day. With such a tight timeline, high physical demand, and the complex intertwined road and gravel routes, everything from boats to beds was booked in advance. Missing a ferry could throw the rhythm of the trip.

Somewhere around Island 3, my priorities shifted. Between Fiore’s crash, my own less-than-ideal preparation (humbling), and the mounting stress of ferry, food, and bike maintenance logistics, it became clear we needed to give ourselves a break. We joined the rally fully on pavement, let go of the gravel plan, and found a rhythm that felt more sustainable. (The climbing was still plenty, trust me.)

Riding in a group means everyone shares the same route but lives a different experience. We each carry our own version of each day, whether we talk about it or not.

For me, this trip unfolded alongside a heavy awareness of what’s happening back in the U.S. Exploring new landscapes feels different when people back home are protesting for their country, being harmed, and questioning the stability of their daily lives. Moving away hasn’t created distance - I’m heartbroken about the slow unraveling of assuredness I have about my home. I’m sad and scared and worried for my friends and family who are there.

Travel doesn’t mute the news. In my mind the landscapes in the Canaries are layered with headlines from the US, images of protests, videos, analyses of shootings, obituaries and memorial rides. Should I edit out those images and show you just the landscape, even if I can’t separate them in my mind? What is the purpose of this feed? 🤷‍♀️

I hope everyone is doing ok. I miss you all ❤️

Happy New Year from our resilient and tight knit gang in Ibiza.

This curious little island surprised me many times on our short trip. In certain ways Ibiza wasn’t kind- the January weather was unusually wet and windy and left us chilled when I think all of us were riding here yearning for sun and warmth. Many times we rolled up to local establishments hoping for companionship or a hot meal, only to find the place shuttered for the season. Or a tourist space turned a cold shoulder to us because we weren’t the clientele they catered to.

And then on the other hand, Ibiza did provide. An incredible sunrise over crashing waves along the south side of the island. Swimming on the coast. A serendipitous hippy party on the beach. Incredible people watching. A new local cyclist friend Stefan, who helped us reroute and simplify our plans. A chance encounter with a German American painter who assured us the Ibiza he knew had more to share than meets the eye. A chance for the four of us to turn inward and support each other and be kind.

We rode some beautiful, verdant, rolling dirt and tarmac roads and climbed plenty of brutally steep inclines. I left reassured that there would still be lots to uncover next time we go back.

Girl Gang vs. the Dangerbird Monumental Loop 2.0 ❤️‍🔥🚀💥

When the Dangerbird event appeared in my feed back in July, I sent it straight to the group chat we have from the 2024 Komoot Women’s Rally in Arizona. Dangerbird — @monumental_loop is hosting a free, self-supported bikepacking event with priority registration for femme and minority riders? They are planning multiple route options with aid stations on desert terrain which feels like a wilder, more remote, sandy, rocky version of what we rode in Arizona? It’s happening in November exactly one year after we rode together from Tucson? It practically wrote its own caption: Rally 2.0. back for more.

Ten Rally vets signed up. Six of us rode together. It was an absolute blast.

This little corner of women’s bikepacking gets more connected every year. Introducing friends from different rides and seeing them connect is one of my favorite parts of showing up. As femme participation at these events grows, so does the sense of community, shared stoke, and opportunity. So, where to next? Who‘s coming with?!! 😁 taken in Las Cruces, New Mexico by @jessicaluscher
