it’s just 4 years —

I walk across the stage in 3 days, and I must say, it’s quite surreal. I remember moving in like it was yesterday—trying not to cry because I was stepping into a whole new season of life that I knew nothing about, in a place I had never been, with people I had never met before. change is daunting and scary. but little did I know this place and these people would become some of the biggest blessings in my life.

my heart is overwhelmed with gratefulness and joy for the friendships gained, the opportunities given, the hard lessons learned and alllll the small little blessings along the way. UM will forever have a special place in my heart.

as I sit here reflecting on the past 4 years I can’t help but stand in awe of a God who would use little ole Mobile to teach me His truest heart for me and show me that Jesus truly is better than anything I could ever want, dream, ask for, or imagine. I’m reminded of the faithfulness of my Abba who relentlessly pursued me when I was running from Him and grabbed a hold of my heart and showed me a Love I’d never known before. and for that I will forever say thank you.

as for what’s next, I don’t really know right now. but I’m learning to rest in that and know that my Good Shepherd will guide my every step, so I do not have to be afraid. I trust that whatever is next will be good because He is good.

Thankful! For! This! Season!

The hard, the good, the sad, the lovely. It’s all a gift.

Trusting God is hard and beautiful. Healing is painful and redemptive. Life is ordinary and wild. I’m learning to love the “and” 💌 by @jessicamae__

“I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten…you shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, who has dealt wondrously with you…” Joel 2:25-26

restoration. it takes a lot of time—time filled with grace even though it may feel like pain. time filled with Love Himself loving us back to life even though it feels like death. that’s the thing though. death has to occur for resurrection to happen. but that’s the beauty of it. only Beauty Himself could do something like that—make gardens of life bloom from wastelands and deserts of death. but He does. and He always will.

it’s just His nature.

**I’m writing this from a place where the healing is still painful. where the process is still messy. so if you’re reading this, and you’re there too, just hold on to His hand, friend. He truly can only ever be good.

precious Jesus, as we celebrate Your first coming, we celebrate the arrival of our long awaited King, Savior, Redeemer, and Joy who came to us in the most humble and lowly way—as an infant. beauty born into our mess. perfection born into our brokenness. and we thank you for making a way for us to be reconciled back to You.

but we do not celebrate this coming without a deep longing within our hearts—a longing for the redemption of all things, where everything sad will be made untrue, every tear will be wiped away, and we will reign with You as our precious and glorious King forever and ever.

so as we celebrate Your first coming here on earth, we also celebrate, with expectancy and steadfast hope, Your second coming, when You will come to get Your bride and bind up sin and death forever.
until that glorious day, let our hearts find rest in Thee.
for You and You alone are worthy, Jesus.

today marks a whole year with one of the biggest blessings from the Lord — port city worship

it all started with a random, last minute text asking if I could fill in and sing for someone, and now I get to lead worship with some of the best people in the whole world. the lessons learned and the relationships built along the way have made this season of my life incredibly special, and I truly could not ask for more.

as I look on this past year with PCW, I stand in awe of the kindness of a Father who doesn’t need us but chooses to use us & our gifts to partner with Him in His Kingdom coming here on earth. and I’m thankful. really thankful.
I continue to be amazed at how personal of a Father He is—that at each gig, He was continually faithful to break chains and break down walls to draw hearts to Himself.
and as I was witnessing hearts being awakened to His love, He was taking me deeper into His heart and breaking down walls that I did not even know were built up too.

so thank you Jesus for this precious opportunity.
and thank you PCW, for loving me well. for all the laughs. for growing with me. and bringing me closer to the feet of Jesus. I love each and every one of you more than you know.

happy birthday little angel. oh what a sweet privilege it’s been to get to watch you blossom & grow into the young woman you are today. I adore your tenderness and your passionate heart so very much. Jesus blessed me beyond measure when He gave me you as not only a sister but a precious life long friend 🤎 I pray this year is full of growth and a deeper knowledge of the Father’s unconditional love for you.
