Growing up in Florida, some of my favorite childhood memories were our yearly trips to Maggie Valley, North Carolina. We came for the mountains, the crisp autumn air, and especially those beautiful fall colors.

I remember thinking there was just something magical about this place.

Sixteen years after making Western North Carolina home, I still have those moments. The ones where I look out at the mountains, take a deep breath, and think, I get to live here.

And this property? It feels like the embodiment of that dream.

Room to roam. Space to garden, grow, and create a little homestead. Mountain views that stop you in your tracks. And a cozy fireplace that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile.

It’s more than a beautiful home. It’s a feeling. A slower pace. A little more room to breathe. The kind of mountain living that so many people dream about.

Maybe that’s why I love what I do. Sometimes I get to help someone else find the place they’ve been dreaming about, too. 🤍

Western North Carolina really is something special.

Can we please do away with daylight saving time already? If not for us, at least do it for the dogs.

And just like that, fall ball is in the books. ⚾️

Tonight was the final game, and Copeland’s team walked away with the championship. But honestly, the best part of this season had very little to do with the scoreboard.

Watching these two teams of 7- and 8-year-olds play each other throughout the season has been the sweetest thing. Some of these boys have been playing together since their T-ball days, and getting to see that progression has been so much fun. From those early days of herding cats to watching them out there playing some REAL baseball. The skills, the confidence, the competitiveness, and the HEART. It’s been so fun to watch.

The excitement when they get a hit. The disappointment when they strike out. The way they cheer each other on, shake hands, high-five, and genuinely care about the game and the kids standing across from them.

Somewhere along the way, you find yourself cheering for kids who aren’t even yours, celebrating their wins, feeling their disappointments, and getting just as invested in their little baseball journeys.

And then there are the people who make these seasons even more special. Kiptyn’s friends showing up to cheer Copeland on, our family friends in the stands, and Copeland’s own baseball coach, a high school senior who could spend his time doing a million other things, making time to come support him. Watching all of these people rally around our boy has been such a gift. It reminds me how fortunate we are to be raising our kids surrounded by people who genuinely show up for them.

This season was extra special because Brad finally got to be part of the coaching crew, too. Thanks to a fellow firefighter stepping in so he wouldn’t have to miss a game, he got to be out there alongside these boys all season. Something we’ll always be grateful for.

So proud of these boys, the friendships, the growth, and all the memories made along the way.

Congratulations to our championship team! And somebody tell spring ball to hurry up. 💙⚾️

If a slower life is calling your name, come take a look at this. 🤍🌿

The kind of place where mornings feel a little less rushed. Where there’s room to grow something, build something, create something. Where the land invites you to wander, the workshop inspires your next project, the barn smells of farm life, and the farmhouse has a little something special tucked into every corner.

With 20+ unrestricted acres, a barn, a pond, an expansive woodshop, and an additional homesite with mountain views, the possibilities here feel endless.

And with the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy bordering the property, there’s something especially beautiful about the natural surroundings.

Honestly, this is one of those properties I’d encourage you to experience in person. There’s so much more to discover than a video can capture.

🤍 OPEN HOUSE THIS SUNDAY | 2–4 PM

@pamelawncrealtor and I would love to welcome you, show you around, and let you experience this special property for yourself.

Push me, God. I want the life we talked about. 🤍

More growth. More purpose. More opportunities to use the gifts You’ve given me.

I’m showing up, doing the work, and trusting You with the doors I can’t open on my own.

I know the life I’m praying for requires faith, discipline, and a willingness to keep growing.

So keep stretching me. Keep guiding me. Keep aligning my steps with the plans You have for me.

Grateful for where I am, confident in the path I’m walking, and trusting that God isn’t finished with me yet. 🤍🙏🏼

✨ We can negotiate contracts, navigate inspections, and get everyone to the closing table… but ask us to pick our walkout songs and suddenly we’re all headlining our own concert. 🎤🤣

One thing’s for sure… there’s no shortage of personality at Gateway Realty Group, and we wouldn’t have it any other way! 🏡✨

Now it’s your turn to be the judge… whose walkout performance stole the show?! 👀🏆👇🏼

Some realtors show houses in heels. I apparently audition for Survivor: Western North Carolina Edition. 😂🌿

The briars got my legs. The mountain got my dignity. But the coffee? Still secured. ☕️

And yes, I left the rainbow flip-flops at home. Even I have limits. 🌈

Sometimes, you find yourself in a moment that you just know you’re going to look back on someday and think, that was the beginning of something really special. ❤️🥁

Last night, Kiptyn had his very first individual percussion lesson with an incredible human we had the privilege of meeting for the first time, jacai.x . (Seriously, the coolest drummer I’ve ever met!)

And as I sat there watching my boy play beside him, my heart did something I can’t quite put into words.

For 13 years, I’ve watched Kiptyn grow and discover who he is. But in these last four weeks since he started band, we’ve seen a spark in him that we’ve never seen quite like this before. A light. An excitement. A confidence that is just beginning to unfold.

Here’s the thing … he had never played an instrument before joining band. No one in our family plays an instrument. We know absolutely nothing about reading music or notes. And yet, there he was, holding his own beside someone with so much talent, learning, listening, trying, and just doing his thing.

My eyes filled with tears. My heart was overflowing. And I found myself thinking … is this what it looks like when you start to discover something that was meant for you?

Being in the presence of the Band of the Bears in their sacred space at Pisgah High School made the moment even more special. Kiptyn is only in eighth grade, and after meeting some of these high school band members just once at eighth-grade night, watching them acknowledge him, welcome him, and make space for him was something I won’t soon forget.

Change has never come easily to Kiptyn. He finds comfort in routine, and navigating new situations and social settings can be hard for him. So to see him stepping into something unfamiliar, finding his place, and lighting up in a way that makes my mama heart want to burst? It takes my breath away.

I know we’re only four weeks into this journey. I know there will be challenging days, moments of frustration, and so much left to learn. But sometimes you don’t need to know exactly where a road leads to recognize that you’re watching something beautiful begin.

I was a mom before I was a Realtor. A wife before I was a business owner. And long before real estate, I spent years helping people navigate complicated things, solve problems, and figure out their next steps. ❤️

Turns out, those skills translate pretty well to real estate. 😉

Motherhood taught me to have a backup plan (and a backup plan for the backup plan).

Years in education taught me patience, communication, and how to explain complicated things twelve different ways.

Being a firefighter’s wife taught me resilience, flexibility, and how to hold down the fort when life doesn’t go according to plan.

And real estate? It’s where all of those pieces come together.

Because buying or selling a home isn’t just a transaction. It’s a big life moment. Sometimes exciting, sometimes overwhelming, and occasionally a little chaotic.

You deserve someone who will advocate for you, tell you the truth, think three steps ahead, and care about your story just as much as the house.

That’s the kind of Realtor I strive to be, every single day. 🏡

Thinking about buying or selling in Western NC? I’d love to hear your story. 🏡 Reach out, and let’s talk about what’s next for you. 💛
