VIRAL COCKTAIL TRENDS! Are they any good?!

In Ep. 2 we made Jess + Tom try a recipe that’s got the cool kids all in a tizzy this Euro summer - a Hugo Spritz with basil leaves instead of its usual mint garnish.

We KNOW that a fresh, minty sprig does wonders for a Hugo Spritz - but are we about to be transported to the glittering Amalfi Coast with a single sip of basil-y goodness?

Meet Doubleview local Jess 👋

Prior to working with STRIVE, Jess had never been a gym person. Chronic pain, a dodgy shoulder, and a body that flared up whenever she pushed too hard. She knew strength training was probably what she needed. She just wasn’t going to try it on her own.

Fast forward 6 months, Jess now:
✅ Trains 3x a week, and just finished a six week streak without missing a session
✅ Lifts heavy again, so the everyday stuff that had quietly got harder feels easy
✅ Shows up even on sore days, because she knows she’ll get an alternative instead of being pushed through pain

She’s 41, has a daughter, works, and studies. She still gets there three times a week. Her daughter gets to watch her do it.

“What the hell? Why is this so good?” That’s about as good as a cabbage review from my husband gets really.

I’ve been eyeing off that gochujang butter cabbage recipe that’s been doing the rounds and thought it was high time I crack open my new goodies from @mgb.pickleco.

The POW jammy chilli oil was legit. Mixed with butter, fresh grated ginger and salt, spooned over charred cabbage it was gently spicy and super tasty.
