Bingo anyone? At every craft show I’ve been a vendor at, I always joke “mark it on your bingo board” for the things that shoppers typically do or say. So, I decided it was time to put my thoughts on paper and actually make one. These are all in good fun and I’ll certainly be bringing a copy to my next craft show to play along.

Since holiday craft show is upon us, a friendly reminder to be nice to vendors. They’re not selling necessities, you don’t NEED what they’re selling. I say this because they won’t be priced as cheap as a mass produced items from big stores. They’re 1-2 people, working after their day jobs to make things to bring people extra joy. They do their best to price their products reasonably but it’s time and labor and creativity from a real human. Be kind.

I’ll get off my soap box and leave you with one phrase that didn’t make the board: “I still have the painting I bought from you last year!” It’s always meant in a positive way, but the phrasing always makes me laugh in a “thanks for not throwing it out I guess?” kind of way. by @jessiecreatesstudio

Coddiwomple. Senior project. Here are the additional pieces I created for this project, as well as an image of all of the covers together. I love this project so much and am honestly so proud of the outcome. Too often we look back on designs and see only the mistakes and what we can change, or are discouraged by the “likes” it gets. But not this time. I am so happy with this project and the hard work I put into it. Okay. Stop reading this, go Coddiwomple. by @jessiecreatesstudio

Volume V – Around the World. And of course, while you don’t have to travel internationally to have a good time, if you have the opportunity to, take it. It is amazing to experience different cultures and ways of life. From language to what they eat for breakfast, an adventure to another country is one that is probably life changing for most.

Volume IV – Cross Country. Pack your bags and enjoy the ride. I personally have never been further West than Ohio, but I sure would love to. There are beautiful landmarks and National Parks. Whether you choose travel or a road trip, you’re bound to make memories.

Volume III – Within the Timezone. Sometimes it’s hard to break out of your comfort zone, and flying is something that a lot of people either can’t afford or get anxiety at the thought of. Staying within the timezone allows you to be able to drive to your destination in a reasonable amount of time. Whether its a family vacation or a fun trip with friends, get out there.

Volume II – Weekend Trips. Take a weekend and get out of your routine and out of your house (maybe even out of your comfort zone). Whether it’s setting up a tent in the backyard with some friends or renting a cabin in the Adirondacks, find time to step outside and step away from the daily stress that a pandemic is sure to cause. It doesn’t have to cost a fortune, just find time to prioritize your mental health.

Volume I – Buffalo Based. I am based in Buffalo so it’s only fitting that my project is too. This volume explores the idea that you don’t have to travel far to travel, just get out there and do it. A state park three hours away or a trail around the corner, either will do just fine. by @jessiecreatesstudio
