I've noticed in life there are people who leave a mark on your heart. They're your family, in Christ. It's especially impactful when they have mentored you, shown you Jesus and helped you take footsteps along the narrow, yet rich, red dirt road of life.
4 years ago, I met Paul and Robyn Roe. Paul was the Outback Historian, co-founder of a discipleship ministry in outback Aus, and a top bloke. He loved people. He knew his Saviour. Paul was part of the catalyst moment in my life that reignited my desire to tell stories through film. Meeting him introduced me and my film making friends to OJ and Hazel whereby together we went on to tell a story of reconciliation that got released this year.
As I wept through his celebration of life service in Dubbo, yesterday, I was full of gratitude for meeting this man and for the work he has done. His passion, joy and love of people were infectious.
You went to heaven quicker than we thought so I didn't get to say thank you, Paul. Thanks for being yourself and sharing who you were with us. Thanks for passing on the knowledge and history of those who loved God and his people before us. Thank you to Robyn who so selflessly supported Paul through his ministry. Thanks Robyn, for recording all the things cause even though he's no longer with us, I will continue to learn the stories of Australians he thought we needed to know.

Is Nathan Cleary going to be called into the ceremony?
As he was top of the Daly M leaderboard and played so well all year, is he going to be linked into the ceremony? If so, are we zoom calling, sending a crew, or just playing an acceptance video?

I love an awards show. Watching them, working at them, I'm here for all of it.
